Could have been one of Britain's best ever world champions,if he'd lived up to his potential. Thoughts ?
Needed a good promoter and better trainer to polish off the rough edges and reign him in a bit.I've never thought ingle was any good. Average at best power didn't help him either. It's not as if Grhaam wasn't a dedicated fighter, he just had a few things missing to take him over the top in a tough era. He had Hagler around for a large chunk of his prime and was over 10 years into his career when he finally fought for titles. It was a tough time to be a middleweight and have hope for a good world title run.Unless you go the jr middle rout and even then there is Hearns etc
I personally can't stand the Ingle style but without doubt Graham was the best and most expert exponent of it,mainly because he had good balance. However at the end of the day he still got sparked.
