I hope this becomes good news. It's no easy feat, as it's naturally exciting - but i'm not getting my hopes up until I've seen him fight someone who is a clear achievement to beat

I really like Paul Briggs as a fighter and commentator but if he intends to have 1 or 2 soft fights then fight Danny Green then i think he might cop a bad defeat to Green at this stage in their careers. The only good thing to come of it would be that he would earn some well deserved $$$$$ fighting Danny Green.

Just a thought, does anyone think Mundine might jump ahead of Green and fight Briggs at 175 before he rematches Green ?

I guess it's a possibility, but I dunno if Mundine is into that sort of petty gamesmenship, that's more Greeny's domain (e.g. his comeback announcement on the day of the Taylor fight).

For either fighter to treat Briggs as a tune up is certainly risky business.

I believe Briggs' first port of call was the Mundine camp... they refused anything to do with Briggs.

But Charlotte shagger Dawson loves it..

And there is no way in the world Mundine would fight Briggs..

Green might take him on if there is genuine interest..

Yeah, he'd just make a last minute switch of weight instead.

I usually dont give a rats about the personal stuff but does anyone know what happended with Briggsy and his wife? Reading the book it sounded like he had really settled down and found someone. Not to say he is still not "settled" but i guess i was just surprised to hear about it.

it is a book, with an ending. unfortunately, its a life which still continues.

Paul's had his struggles since the book. He still will for the rest of his life, like all of us.
of course theres plenty of bull**** reported though.

mundine wouldnt go anywhere near briggs for all the cash you could throw at him.

    P.S
if anyone hasnt read briggsys book i strongly recomend it. Its one of the best insights to a fighters psyche ive ever come across and is full of behind the scenes wheeling and dealing.
