Magarito can never be the Mexican ATG. It doesn't matter he wrapped illegal substances in his gloves or not. Who has Margarito beaten? The only big win that he got was beating Cotto in the first fight. After that, he got beaten again and again until he retired. What 's the point of this B.S. thread?

he was never a cheat, at worst he was stacking his wraps which is legal in most states. Shane is the one that got caught using roids, thats real cheating.

What evidence? Substance consistant with plaster of Paris was found. Margarito fanboys claim it was from sweat, but they cannot prove that. The fact that Caputillo said he used old wraps by accident is laughable. A veteran trainer did not realize he was using old wraps? Margarito, literally arms length away didn't realize old wraps were being used? And you believe that nonsense.

It's amazing to me how anyone could buy that story that it was an accident. How do you "accidently" put hardened, used, discolored, bloodstained, sweatstained knuckle pads in both hand wraps? Surely Capetillo would have noticed that the so-called "training" knuckle pads that he took out of his gym bag and put in were discolored, bloodstained, sweat stained, etc. The CSAC certainly didn't buy that BS story that it was an accident. What's really damning for Margarito is that court documents revealed that Margarito himself said to the inspectors in the dressing that nothing was inside the wrap. How would he have any idea if there were illegal pads inside the wraps if he had no idea about it? This revelaton completely destroys Margarito's "playing dumb", "I knew nothing of it" defense. Margarito knew what Capetillo had done, he was trying to play innocent hoping that the inspectors would take his word for it that there was nothing inside and wouldn't uncover the hardened knucklepads. The only people dumber than Margarito and his cheating trainer are his fans who slurp up all their BS about it being an accident. Further, Margarito defenders try to moronicly argue that there wasn't plaster found on the handwraps despite the testimony of multiple inspectors and others who testified to seeing a white-like plaster substance on the gauze PLUS photographic evidence of it under a 6x microscope AND the substances of plaster of paris being found by the lab.

The levels of delusion on display by Margarito fanboys that this was all some kind of innocent accident is beyond comprehension. For this to be an accident, Capetillo would have to be legally blind or have no self-awareness whatsoever to take a used pair of so-called training wraps out of his gym bag that were discolored, blood and sweat stained and put them in both of Margarito's handwraps. On top of that, you'd have to believe that multiple inspectors were lying about seeing a thick white, plaster-like substance on the pads. It is obviously absurd and far-fetched to believe such a ridiculous conspiracy. People aren't as dumb as Margarito fans think they are. Capetillo and Margarito clearly cheated then lied about it being an accident or not knowing about it. In the other topic we went in depth on this and what was revealed leaves no doubt about what happened. Anyone who continues to perpetuate the idea that Capetillo or Margarito were wronged in any way clearly have their head up their ass and refuse to look at the evidence and testimony. It is shameful for anyone to defend such a proven cheat who was caught red-headed with loaded knuckle-pads.

I never heard that! Up until this very moment, I only heard that Capitillo used old wraps by accident. Are you lying? Are you changing the narrative once logic is applied to the situation? I've read many articles, posts and even the transcripts of the hearing and never read Capitillo didn't have new wraps so he used the old ones. Interesting, the biggest fight of Margarito's career and a veteran trainer is not prepared. You have a link to support your claim?

When did you see Mosely fight like that?? Against Floyd he was gassed in 3 Against Mora he looked like a shot fighter. But when needed he had energy to burn. C'mon man he's a PROVEN & SELF CONFESSED Peds cheater.
He claimed innocence until Balco produced his receipts & he4 had to come clean Never seen a guy so embarrassed. But was he ever punished?? No he was a chosen one

Lol Ask Cotto who gave him an ass whuppin?
Ask Pacman who hit him the hardest in his career
Ask Mosely why he looked shot every fight after
If Ped's gave you an Iron jaw, Balls of Steel & Take on all comers attitude then maybe Floyd would have had the necessaries to fight Margarito & not embarrass himself the way he did lol

Who LEGITIMATELY beat Margarito ?? Only TWO fighters Paul Williams & Manny Pacquaio since I first saw him. Cotto NEVER beat him that doc did.
Mosely fight should have been called off Margarito was railroaded. You know that shows just how corrupt boxing is. A man comes up that the so called champions know they cannot beat but he has to be got rid of So lets railroad him

Im no Margarito fan, but I find this to be a rather simplistic and incomplete view of what actually happened.

Margarito wins the Cotto fight, then gets destroyed by Mosley in a fight where he could have had cement in his gloves and it wouldnt have mattered anyway.

He then goes on to look more than decent in giving Pac a grueling fight.

In this fight he sustained a career altering (and eventually ending) eye injury.

It is this injury that actually has the ref call the Cotto rematch off.

In a fight that Margarito was unquestionably gaining momentum in as the fight was progressing.

Its also important to note, that Margarito did his best work in their first encounter, after the time the ref stopped the fight in their second encounter.

I dont see it unlikely at all that Margarito was again going to be giving Cotto hell as they enter and go through the championship rounds.

But the injury from Pac prevented that.

The Cotto rematch was essentially the end of Margs career, as it became evident he couldnt compete at that level, with such an injury. Hence he was out of the ring for almost 5 years.

The Pac injury (in a fight he looked good in, against a prime atg, to anyone unbiased) is why he didnt have much of a career after the wrap fiasco.

Not acknowledging that, is revisionist history.
