Yeah, it was a great night. I had it 118-112 also.

People here saying "he fought another nobody" really don't know the sport. Rob is a top class boxer and may well win a world title at some stage. He's incredibly fast and as tough as nails. He's a credit to his trainer.

Mundine should never have gotten himself into the position where he had to fight the winner of a reality TV show like The Contender, especially given some of the dodgy decisions that took place on it.

He goes on about world domination and how the top dogs are avoiding him, yet he had his dance card for 2010 filled out 6 months ago with the Geale rematch, Medley fight and Contender winner fight organised.

Now that Sturm and Pavlik may be unifiying later this year, there is little chance Mundine could get a fight with either.

Enjoy 2010 waiting for Mundine to do something on the world stage ashley :hi:

Mundine will pick up Sturms belt when they strip him for inactivity (his promotional issues) , or if he fights Pavlik , whatever comes first....

Rob is a top class DOMESTIC boxer I agree. Mundine has/(maybe gone now) WORLD class skills , and when they are their best are 3 weight classes apart, so he should have stopped him.... I had it 119-109. Rob should not have been in that ring after they made it a 160 bout.

Most likely, and that will be the 3rd vacant WBA second-tier belt he has won, the first 2 being the vacant WBA SMW second-tier title when Ottke unified with Mitchell and Kessler unified with Beyer.

Note who he fought for those 2 vacant titles - Antwun Echols and Sam Soliman - 2 career MWs :hey

No doubt he'll be fighting a career JMW coming up for the vacant WBA second-tier MW belt when it is created.

Joe Calzaghe dominated the UK for years.......it took until he was 34yrs old before he really fought the huge names and yet the UK public love him because they recognise him as their best fighter so they back him!!! If Joe did it what makes you think Mundine cant do it at 34 why is he shot???. So he is fighting the contender winner that is a good move IMO look at this way..........he is middleweight now packs the weight on to get to super fights garth as a tune up then fights a big name by the end of 2010. He now believes he can make the lower weight so maybe he will try and go low again.

His plans look to have changed dramaticly after the IBO weight issues!!

The australian public have never givin him a good go jeff fenech bluffed the public that all his fighters could beat Mundine from Mcloed to Green after he beat Green the public didnt give him credit they hated him more for beating their hero, he likes to be the villian so i guess he dont mind, however after all the words that took place he really humble towards Green he spoke kind of him and let his ego go to be a good bloke that night thats the real Mundine a good man!! they then jumped on the solimon band wagon and then the Geale band wagon and now the Medley bandwagon.

Maybe if you stopped and turned him into your hero and backed him then the other international fighter might fight him based on the fact that they know he will gain massive attention lets be honest thats why jones fought Green and why hopkins has thought about it they know that public love him and will watch and flood to see him fight give the man a chance I can see why he is like this because the public have always backed the other man he just loves beating them to prove his point.

Australians love to debate the what if's in amoungst our boxers the dream matchups that never took place to really decide the best between our best boxers who they should have fought who they didnt...........well you cant say that with Mundine he has beatin every one worth beating in Australia he is our best fighter today!

Oh Sally dont get your knickers in a knot over this it is just boxing only a sport your voice will not change anything lool
