nice post mate(just remmember were talking bout a guy in the league of fenech 3 times worlds champs) hell prolly start calling out the great carlos zarate...:hey:bbb
why should Kessler rematch him? he was too busy trying to prove he was the best SMW in the world.the only time a rematch should be even entertained when the first fight is a close or disputed split decision eg. Mundine /Geale but oh thats right he dogged that to become the pioneer winning 3 titles in descending weight divisions oops hes still a mw.still i suppose that means he will re-match Geale now to prove the doubters wrong.oh no he just happened to have a falling out with the IBO so that looks unlikely.dammitatsch Soliman 4 if Sturm or someone else unifies the WBA belt with another belt.:deal
you maybe right.but he doesnt test those skills against fighters.give me a limited but courageous Katsidis any day.:thumbsup
Oh **** OFF you IDIOT. When both Mundine and Andrade were the WBA and WBC mandatories to Kessler and Beyer respectively, they both agreed to step aside and allow Kessler to unify with Beyer, on the proviso that Andrade had first shot at the winner, and Mundine had next shot. In other words, the winner of the Kessler vs Beyer unification would have 2 mandatory defences in Andrade (WBC) and Mundine (WBA). Why did Mundine agree to step aside if he was so keen on a rematch with Kessler? I'll tell you why - because he knew regardless of who won out of Kessler and Beyer, the WBC mandatory was the first cab off the rank, and the WBA would elevate the 'WBA World SMW' belt to the 'WBA Super World SMW' belt, leaving vacant the 'WBA World SMW' belt that he could fight the likes of Soliman for. Kessler beat Beyer, his 'WBA World SMW' belt was elevated to the 'WBA Super World SMW' belt, he fulfilled his WBC mandatory against Andrade and then it was Mundine's turn. Why didn't Mundine push for his mandatory then? Because he had already fought and beaten Soliman for the vacant 'WBA World SMW' belt 3 weeks prior to Kessler vs Andrade. Then Kessler was pushing to unify with Calzaghe, while Mundine went on to fight Clavero. When Kessler lost to Calzaghe, he lost his 'WBA Super World SMW' belt and dropped to WBA #3 SMW, and approached Mundine for the rematch Mundine had been asking him for for close to 2 years. Instead, Mundine fought Hamdan and Soliman 3 (fulfilling a rematch clause that many felt was unnecessary). Kessler chased a rematch with Calzaghe to no avail. When Kessler became Mundine's mandatory for his 'WBA World SMW' belt, Mundine vacated the title to move down to MW, leaving Kessler to fight Sartison for the vacant 'WBA World SMW' belt. The chronology is below - you can't argue with facts, you spidiot. Kessler vs Beyer - 14/10/2006 - Kessler beat Beyer, his 'WBA World SMW' belt was elevated to 'WBA Super World SMW' and the 'WBA World SMW' belt became vacant. Mundine vs Soliman 2 - 07/03/2007 - they fought for the recently vacated 'WBA World SMW' belt Kessler vs Andrade - 24/03/2007 - Kessle fulfilled his WBC mandatory defence. Kessler vs Calzaghe - 03/11/2007 - Kessler sought to unify against the best SMW in the world but lost. The 'WBA Super World SMW' belt disappeared. Mundine vs Clavero - 10/12/2007 - voluntary defence of his 'WBA World SMW' belt Mundine vs Hamdan - 27/02/2008 - voluntary defence of his 'WBA World SMW' belt Mundine vs Soliman 3 - 28/05/2008 - fulfilling rematch clause and voluntary defence of his 'WBA World SMW' belt Kessler vs Sartison - 21/06/2008 - they fought for the vacant 'WBA World SMW' belt Mundine vs Crazy Kim - 30/07/2008 - interesting to note that even though Mundine had vacated the 'WBA World SMW' belt to move down to MW, he weighed in at 164.5lbs only 1 month after Kessler fought Sartison for the WBA 168lbs title :hey
I mean despite the person he has become Fenech is our best home grown fighter ever.but not the most skilled.skills are great sadly some waste them.maybe Khoder is charismatic and has kept Mundine from challenging big names for less money because it shrinks his 10-15%.who knows?.makes for lively debate on boxing forums though.
:nod "Oh no, he just happened to have a falling out with the IBO, so rematching Geale looks unlikely" "Oh no, he just happened to have a falling out with America with his 9/11 comments so fighting in the US looks unlikely" "Oh no, he'll never fight in Germany again because they've proven to be corrupt in the past, despite his only fight in Germany being a decisive, non-controversial KO loss, so a fight with Sturm looks unlikely" ...and so on...
I think the Calzaghe comparison is right out of left field and pretty much useless as a measure. While Calzaghe's resume was not exactly sparkling up until that time, it at least wasn't brimming with unknown South American's, part-time Aussies and old blown up lightweights/welterweights/middleweights. Calzaghe was also undefeated.
Also, Calzaghe would have wiped the floor with Mundine at any time had they fought. Too big, too fast, too busy.
No it isn't you dopey ****. Try reading something with an open mind and you might learn something, otherwise, PM me your deets and we can meet up so you can suck my ****.
I think Choc's circus is nearing the end. The calls of roll up roll up aren't as loud and feverish. Put simply, I think he is all bullshitted out. And he knows it.
