When you have that kind of lenght as a boxer you can't give it up, which is exactly what he did in the last fight. He also sacrificed his accuracy and ability to set down on his punches by trying to be so active.

From here on, he should jab with authority, pick his shots more selectively, and sit down on the shots he throws rather than always be the more active fighter.

Everyone complains about his defensive holes, but the best way to sure that up is use the distance that his frame provides him with and make people pay to try to get inside. Being such an upright target, he is never going to be smooth defensively in this weight class.

So now what? He brutally beats Quinatana worse than Cotto, if Cotto wins will he fight Williams?

That would be the only fight that makes sence unless Cotto rematches Mosley or PBF decides to come out of retirement to fight Cotto.

All depends on DLH. If that fight is lurking there isn't any way Arum lets Cotto near PW.

Also, there could be a rematch if the Cotto vs Margo fight is a big success.

williams can hurt guys if he sits down on his punches. nice to see him do that tonight. good win btw, i expected quinatana to win a close UD. good way to shrug off that "fraud" tag.

I still think there should be a rematch. In the beginning of the fight Q was landing flush shots on Williams, and vise-versa. The main differense is that Williams caught Q being cocky (ala Pavlik) flush, and that's what happens in boxing sometimes. Congratulation Williams on your W, but in my opinion I still would like to see a 3rd fight. Just to see if this wasn't a fluke TKO. Taking into consideration that Williams isn't known as a hard puncher.

Wow, talk about a completely different fighter. He looked really sharp and way more aggressive than I have ever seen him.

Thanks for posting, I didn't get to see it.

Thanks ACB ... Williams looked great ... he looked crisp and he looked discipline ...

I know what kinda fight that Williams is ... the pace he fights at is very difficult to deal with ... and once he gets you hurt he's not going to let up ... he throws punches in bunches and never gets winded.

    Quintana had his moment ...

    Bring on the trilogy ...

I think that Williams stiffest competition would be against someone like Cotto or someone like Floyd ... Berto or the Judah v Clottey winner would get dismantled.

But we have yet to see what Berto is all about ...

No way this was a premature stoppage, Quintana was done and would have only got injured if it continued.
