Hey Jeff Lacy, YOU S*CK!!!!

As much as he sucked on saturday. He would still knock you out in less then 30 sec with his good arm tied behind his back. :rofl

 

I thought he was well below expectations but still worked well on the inside in small bursts..

 

Lacy was always overrated, but even he surprised me with how bad he looked out there. Worse than against Tsypko, against a worse opponent.

Though as far as the supermiddleweight division goes, he is one of the "best" of "the rest" behind Calzaghe, with respect to resume anyway. Just goes to show how lacklustre the division is and will be once Joe moves up.

The Winky Wright sparring sessions just before the Calzaghe fight was a telling event for Lacy. He was completely embarrassed and outclassed in the sparring. Some say it was so bad that it made Lacy come a bit unglued.

If his left shoulder is never to be the same and he's reduced to what he showed against Manfredo the future for Lacy looks very bleak.

 

Just a horrid night for Lacy against an incredibly ordinaey fighter.He ought to be forced to watch his performance on tape 100 times as punishment.:-(

 

Probably because they didn't know how bad Lacy had fallen.

 

Well fact is that Lacy wasn't ever that good - he had power, confidense and many opponents where timid coming into the ring with him - after Calzaghe he lacked most of those. But let's face it he did struggle with Sheika even before the Calzaghe-fight...

That said - Lacy might not take a worldtitle anytime soon - but he is still a decent fighter much to the level of Mack, Andrade and such.

Lacy-Andrade could be an interesting match-up

Oh and Blocky... Manfredo do suck - after all he did loose as many contender fights as he won and despite the comercials - the people fighting in the contender - wasn't the best of the weightclass - Manfredo is a decent fighter, but no where near top20 in SMW.

 

Cal ruined him.

Stick a fork in him.

 

How come did Manfredo compete? Manfredo cliched and pity-patt all the way to the final bell. Jeff Lacy has tremendous punch power but that performance was really that bad to be remembered. Lacy should fight Miranda and look good or not even in horrid hell will someone want to see him compete again.

 

I don't get you Blocky. I'm not sure if you actually believe Lacy was the bigger challenge and better victory for Joe than Kessler, or if you just have family ties to Jeff or something and feel obligated to make these overprotective stretches of truth on his behalf, or if this is all a put-on. But something's rotten in the state of Florida (while there's something popping fresh in Denmark :good).

You are all bagging the **** out of Lacy but Lacy aint the type of guy who has ever spoke himself up..He has never really chanted that he is the best even leading up to the Calzaghe fight.

He is generally a classy guy outside the ring..

I could understand if he was a cocky arrogant kind of guy but he generally doesnt say too much about himself..

In all honesty for him to be even fighting at semi top level is a accomplishment in its own as i have torn my rotator cuff playing pro rugby and it took me 18mnths to even get it back to a compotent level.

And Rugby aint a sport where you need to use that shoulder to generate power 400 plus times in a space of 36minutes without much rest..

Fair enough he may be shot but dont really get the whole hate brigade going on here..
