    Just noticed while randomly farting around on boxrec. He's fighting Robert "I haven't won a fight in five years" Hawkins for the WBU belt that went vacant back in '09 when even the WBU decided it didn't give a **** about the WBU.

    Why is he fighting again? I don't really see him beating any current HW top 50s so I'm not sure what the point is. Money issues?

    He was a prospect at one time, but was flattened if I remember correctly by former WBo titlist Henry Akinwande, then desmolished by Peter. He still holds the fastest official heavyweight ko ever, if that means anything.

    What a joke! A person with 10 straight losses fighting for a title.

    Who could ever take such a sanctioning body seriously?

    Surely there are more deserving boxers out there.

    actually.....Jimmy Thunder KO1 Crawford Grimsley is the fastest heavyweight KO ever...at 13 seconds.....and should have been about 3 or 4 seconds but the ref decided to count to 10

    My first thought when I read the title was "who?" and directly thereafter "the only Jeremy Williams I know was that hyped HW prospect from many years ago."
    Turns out it is him... never expected him to make a comeback.

    I agree, it was pointless of the ref to count to ten, but he did. Williams KO'd Artur weathers in 10 seconds, the "fight" is on youtube.

    Wasn't he pissing off Lennox Lewis while he was Lewis' sparring partner? I once saw a documentary or something, where they were talking about wrestling and throwing each other to the ground etc. Williams wanted to go out guns blazing in the last days of sparring while Lewis was getting prepared for a title fight. Steward had to calm Lewis down.

    Williams has done some MMA as well. He's got a 5-0 record but hasn't had an MMA bout since March 08.
