How so if he's 0-1 vs Williams who is the wbo ww champion? Damn Biased Margarito fans need to get a freaking clue.

I am not a biased Antonio Margarito fan, but Miguel Cotto was recognised as the man at 147 before Margarito beat him. Maybe it's objective, but if you beat the man then you became the man. In any event, Margarito is alongside Paul Williams as the best at 147, and that is an extroadinary feat considering how disregarded he was after the Williams loss. Margarito is a great fighter and I wish him luck in the future.

Just cause Margarito beats Cotto( who was recognised as the man at 147) doesn't mean Margarito is the man until he beats the man that beat him in the wbo ww champion Paul Willisms.

In any event, Antonio Margarito is alongside Paul Williams as one of the best fighters in the Welterweight division. I rank Margarito's win over Cotto far greater than anything Williams has done in the division, and that for me gives him the edge. However, I have no problem people thinking Williams "is the man" because it all doesn't mean a great deal anyhow. A rematch should happen.

He just now beat Cotto, and you have to win to be the man, just because he fought Williams doesn't make him the man.

    not on paper....
but a real man and fight fan will always love, respect, and appreciate (and sometimes rate higher than the man who was called the man) a fighter like margo more then floyd who fought to survive......
he fought all contenders and champions and left no questions at all...pretty boy's career will always have that ? mark on it....and when these kids that follow him grow up, they will realize that floyd made himself the best by talking, not fighting....:deal
