we also do UNDERGROUND Boxing events .. beer, bitches, bar b que, boxing, money money money... them shits get so packed with paying spectators...once in a while COPS stop the ****... OLD SCHOOL BOXING!
hahaha!!! pendejo! i never said i went PRO. you dont need to be a pro to FIGHT for a $2,000 purse.. atsch YOU GOTTA BE A HUSTLER, BABY!
My last fight, was last year, it was supposed to be on youtube but the D.V.D guy got busted for something else, and we were NEVER able to get the footage to upload it raw..
didnt Ortiz have a cracked sternum too? Look, Im all about having heart, overcoming adversity, digging down and showing grit and all that, but there really is such a thing as being too tough for your own good. As Mayweather said, (and im paraphrasing here) is heart and a willingness to sacrifice your health going to matter when you got a family to support and you are permanently injured? Are those fans that called you a coward for quitting instead of getting beaten into a coma going to pay your bills? nah, definitely not. I respect a fighter that can dig deep and gut out a win, but at the same time, I have to show respect to a man that knows when to fold 'em.
the ONE thing that sucks for the boxers in UNDERGROUND boxing is, that THE LOOSER don't get ****!!!!!!!! one time i lost, i felt SOOOO ashamed and couldnt stop crying that night.. cuz i thought of all the work i put into it, even tho i lost by ONLY one point and the FIGHT was a back and forth ACTION FIGHT and EVERY one said that THAT was the best fight they've EVER seen, still, the fact that i came home empty handed and a black eye, made me feel very depressed... but the next time i jumped back in, i knocked out the other guy by a first round BODY shot...and the depression died...so I CAN only imagine how it must feel for professional boxers when they LOOSE devistatingly when they were expected to win... I WAS expected to win that night i lost... and you RIGHT AWAY know who ur real friends are, because they JUMP off the bandwagon, ALMOST AS SOON AS THE BELL RINGS..
I'd rather watch Ortiz's fights than Malignaggi's. Paulie gets a lot of respect from me for having an iron heart but he's not interesting. Ortiz will either knock someone out or get KOed. Either way you're basically guaranteed to see some good action. Do I think he's a mental midget? Yes. But he has enough power to change things with just one punch and that makes him valuable to the sport of boxing. If he wants to continue his career I'm all for it. Bring on Berto or Rios.
sweet. my old boxing coach used to tell me stories about the underground events he fought at in new york, where you actually would get paid even though they were amateur fighters
