what about refusing to fight morales at lightweight because it would of been too much of an advantage for him and pac will never go up to that weight lol

these question have already been answered dozens of times.

If Pacquiao, who in his last fight weighed in at 138lbs, and Cotto, who in his last fight weighed in at 146, fight each other at a 147lb limit... Cotto would have a huge size advatange. It would not be a fair playing field.

As for the title, if Cotto wants to call himself a WW champion then he should be ready to put his title on the line every time he fights. Don't hide the title in your moma's closet because you're fighting at a catchweight. And if you don't wanna put your WW title on the line at a catchweight, then man the **** up and defend your title against someone your own size, instead of someone who weighed in at 138 in his last fight.

If Pac wants to move up and challenge for a title at 147 shouldn't he fight the champion at 147?

not necessarily. If they come to an agreement on a catchweight so that the fight is fair to all parties, then that's ok.

It's better to have a WW title fight at a catchweight within the WW limit than having a WW champion who insists on defending his title against JrWWs at the 147lb limit.

catchweights are stupid if you want to be 7 weight world champ go to the weight we know pacs walkin around weight is 148 roach admits this and when you check the weight on the night hes up to 148-150 anyway so does the catchweight really make a difference to how he performs?.....just makes other fighters have to drain themselves more

Cotto didn't insist on anything. You act like he was defending it against Jr WWs all the time. It was for one fight against the P4P number 1 at the time.

    There's a difference.

Pac should of fought him at 147, and if Pac wants to fight him at 154 (I hope not) he should fight him at 154. Not 149 not 151 not 152

There was an interview with roach and he said "shane moseley came down to my gym to ask me why we would fight ODLH at 147 but not him,i said to shane....your not oscar!!" on the same video he says he seen ODLH down at the track a couple of weeks before the fight and he said oscar looked drained and he didnt feel that oscar put 100% into his training regime anymore so now was the time to take him. (The video is on youtube but i cant be bothered to find it!! i will if needs be!!)
P.S i am a pacfan but the truth is the truth!! he cherry picks as does floyd!!

You act like Pac fights all his title fights at catchweights. Pac had a title fight against Clottey at the full WW limit despite Clottey being a huge top5 WW.

When Pac fought Cotto, he weighed in at 138 in his last fight. Cotto weighed in at 146. They fought at 145.

Everyone acts like its Pac who had the big advantage at 145. WTF? Cotto had the advantage, not Pac.
