Wait I'm confused are you stating this is an act of racism? Also why would Loma get less, isn't he the bigger draw and the decorated amateur.....is this what they call white mans burden? Lol....where is farmboxer when you need him, this clearly another reason why affirmative action was a bad idea Walters is lucky he's even getting the opportunity.

How is Loma bigger draw? I honestly thought nobody knows **** about him. Walters knocked Donaire and darchinyan out. This should be 50-50 fight:thinking:...

I assuming within your circles he's not well known....I've been receiving texts from buddies asking me if I'm going to watch the Loma fight vs some Jamaican guy lol.

tbh.. I dont follow boxing politics, at all. I watch the fights. But I understand how it works in pro game.

But still I think this is ****ed, if walters loses, guy getting 300k? No wonder why very rarely good fights gets made. This **** should be 50-50.

Couldn't tell you, but rumor was the number Walters turned down before was $500k guaranteed (before Loma's side bet offer, which I'm not counting). That's a heck of a paycut to take on a guy who is now acclimated to the weight as opposed to getting Loma in his first fight moving up.

How is 1 million not fair for Loma? I'm shocked he's getting that much, as he's not a draw. Kovalev got 2 million in a big-time ppv showdown. I don't know how Bob can afford to pay him a million. The HBO numbers were 465,000 against Martinez, which were as bad as it gets for HBO boxing, and less than half GGG's numbers (I know HBO isn't dependent on viewers per show like ppv or commercial tv, but it is an indication of his popularity). I'm not going to say they should be paid less because I think talent and fighting the best competition should be rewarded, but Loma and Walters are not remotely being underpaid.

Lomachenko continues to get paid like a star despite being as much of non-draw as Rigondeaux.

And the original deal was for 600k.. so he took 300k less to get Loma in the ring, and despite his happiness and at times has shown too much respect to Loma especially after the weigh in, I think he's a man on a mission. I can't wait till the opening bell!

This is a 60/40 fight for me in favor of loma, I still think walters is a bit of a dark horse tho, I think his boxing skills are underrated, This will be VERY interesting. Fantastic fight!

Walters is getting shortchanged making 250,000 less than he was offered earlier this year. But his career stalled this year, Loma is champ at 130, and Walters knows he needs this fight, and winning it will command more than 500,000 for his next fights. So props for making the fight.

Seems i might have been right about TR pressuring Walters. Walters walked away from the first fight and had been shelved since. I guess it was the only option he had.
