I doubt that. Eubanks and Benn get a lot of props around here. I'd imagine there is quite a few people that know about and have seen this fight.
My all time hidden gem fight is Hagler/Mugabi. People forget that Mugabi was ranked the #1 challenger by all three bodies with a 25-0 (25 KO) record. Take a look at Haglers face in his corner (I believe after round 2) when he realizes how hard Mugabi hits. Fantastic fight....and it truly shows how great The Marvelous One is
Mark Breland vs Aaron Davis from the early 90's This is a fight that I've never heard anyone mention, but it's amazing even if you don't know who they are. Unbelievable display of heart.
Good one. What would have happened had he not had the problem with his eye?? Very close fight until he had eye trouble
Oh yeah, Vincent-Walker was like their foreheads were glued together. All in-fighting, all up close and personal. Ultimately it was a bad choice of tactics for Walker, but he was confident in his own abilities. He just didn't realise Vincent could soak it up so well. Thompson-Rothmann is like a Rocky fight. And then Thompson repeated the trick against Haye. I've got both those fights still on tape from the BBC broadcasts.
For me the most satisfying knockout of all time! Rothmann was one cocky ******* and gave 'The Cat' a serious pasting throughout the fight, smiling at him throughout. Classic Carl Thompson.:good
Derrick Jefferson v. Mo Harris-this is one of the most entertaining fights you will ever see! Multiple knock downs in a wild slug fest. Elvir Muriqi v. Sammy Ahmad-Another multi-knockdown fight that was shown on ESPN a few years ago that not many people remember about. Kennedy McKinney v. Welcome Nicta I-Awesome fight that almost no one has seen. Kennedy McKinney v. MA Barrera-One of the best fights ever! PS-A blast from the past, both Bobby Chacon v. Cornelius Boza Edwards fights! These are two great wars that people have forgotten about.
Teddy Atlas' commentary in that fight was terrific and I get goosebumps everytime I see that fight.:yep :good
barry michaels vs lester ellis, great aussie showdown and one hell of a fight. one of the last 15 rd title fights to i think
Rolando Navarette vs. Rafael Bazooka Limon. That was one fascinating fight. I think it was in '81 or '82, televised on CBS, and Navarette had his way against the awkward, wild swinging Limon for most of the fight, and did everything except deck Limon, which, up to that time, nobody was able to do. In what was the last round, and I can't remember whether it was 10 or 12 or 14, Limon sudenly lands a barrage of punches, mostly arm-type punches, but it overwhelms Navarette, and he goes down for the count! Talk about a come from behind, unexpected finish! Ol' Bazooka covered himself in glory that day. What a fight!
