Interesting that fighting Riddick Bowe and Vitali Klitschko is probably more daring than anything Haye has ever done so far. I don't remember either fight being made a humongous deal of either.
Seriously, what is your problem with Haye? You obviously have something against him as you are always criticising him even though you say you like the guy...
I think he fancies him and is using this childish 'only call the ones you hate' philosophy to try and mask the fact :yep Pervert !
When Haye fights the Klits (something he promised years ago now) he will get huge amounts of credit from me, until that day, knocking out Enzo Maccarinelli doesn't score hugely with me in the grand scheme of things. Because I don't worship at his altar does not mean I have a problem with him.
Well Haye is a former British cruiser weight who turned heavyweight and Herbie Hide is a former British cruiser weight who turned heavyweight. Both are still boxing. Hide took on the best heavies in the likes of Bowe and the Klits, Haye plans to take on the best. Are we not allowed to make a comparison in a British boxing forum? Are we not allowed to talk about it?
Hide was pretty good for a few rounds there. The nervous energy actually seemed to help him for a while, until he punched himself out and then he was toast. That fight pretty much sums him up though. **** poor chin and can't fight 12 rounds. But it also shows the speed he had and the power he had.
Don't forget that Herbie took this to Vegas as well. HW boxing at the time was still huge, it's quite understandable in a way that he was nervous. What is interesting too, perhaps (or maybe not), is that HBO clearly state on the clip that they don't at all recognise the WBO title, which I guess we knew anyway.
Why hasn't he had a shot yet? He's been operating & unbeaten at Cruiser for 2 years hasn't he? He's not getting any younger.
