If you want to maintain your mass you should eat more to compensate for the extra activity.

Its exercise physiology. Its not an ideal way to gain mass by doing lower resistance and higher reps. In order for you to build muscle mass you basicly need to work that muscle harder than it is accustomed to and to increase the amount of resistance over time. That way the muscle has to call for more motor units wich call for more muscle fibers into action to contract in order to keep up with the force of resistance. In return your actually building more mysoin / actin protiens in the mitochondria with is the building site for ATP with is the energy soruce for muscle contraction. Just by eating more Kclas dosnt mean your going to gain more muscle. Yes you need those cals in order to have enough of an energy source to burn so you dont start using protien for fuel wich will burn your muscle gains.
