From that list its difficult to choose as all the frist 4 seem like top blokes with no edge...made to pick it would have to be Clinton Woods, closely followed by Rogan. Any (ex) world champ who chooses Cleggy for a family holiday has to be pretty grounded.

Very close between Clinton Woods and Rogie for me. Why's Michael Gomez not in the list [sic]?

He can be a dick at times (before the fights) but I've never heard about a fan meeting him and describing as anything other than a top bloke.

Hence the reason I wrote '[sic]'. I do think Gomez is misunderstood though. He always seems approachable and calm when the cameras and the media-scrum aren't present. Lennox Lewis is a nice guy as well.

He's not necessarily high profile or British but up and comer Darren Sutherland is an absolute gent.

Yep, I think Gomez has to get a certain way mentally about his opponent but he seems a good guy.

I bumped into Michael whilst actually walking down a street in Manchester one Saturday afternoon. The man was brilliant - took time out for a chat, a photo, etc. Very polite and friendly.

Having met many. many fighters I'd have to say that Scott Lawton, Mike Gomez, Mike Holdan, Johnny nelson, Carl Thompson, Ricky Hatton, Paul Burke, Mathew Maclkin and Ensley Bingham are/were genuinely nice guys. Hatton, Gomez, Lawton, Burke, Maclkin in particular because I spoke to them properly and either knew them away from the media or spent time with them speaking to them and not their media persona.

Having said that i'd be hard pressed to name a boxer I didn't like. I've heard that Calzaghe and Woodhall are proper gents. There is perhaps one ex-pro I can think of that I wasn't particuarly taken with but It would be wrong to slate him on here. Very good fighter but perhaps not one of the most friendly i've met seemed almost a little resentful of the sport in general.
