I think the way the question is worded by the TS maybe a little misleading. It takes a lot of skill to have a high output and for it to make the difference for you in a high level fight. Just based on the more you throw the more open you are, so if you're throwing a lot and not getting punished or countered much then you're very skilled. Unless you're asking for brawlers who come forward, let their hands go like Antillon, but get hit an awful lot and are naturally gonna be more active.

Per the TS' requirements I don't think anyone can say Calzaghe lacked skill or wasn't athletic. The man was the whole package. Throw in smarts due to the modification of his style. He was far too good to be a "his volume makes it competitive" guy.

My understanding is that was what the TS was looking for. Not the guys who moved their hands, where great technicians, AND possessed pure skill.

He was looking for guys who despite skills and gifts, moved their hands and made good fights.

First person comes to mind for me is Paul Williams.

Those guys didn't land anything on him so he could have scored half as much and still won easy.

Vitali just has a knack for timing guys falling in.

Calzaghe fought bums the whole of his career. If he had tested himself against the best like Floyd or Pac when both of them were in their prime then we would really see what kind of skills Calzaghe really had. Tszyu, Whittaker, Mosley, Barrera... just some top fighters "conveniently" missing from Calzaghe's record. Get over it, 46 fights, 45 bums*.

    *He fought Mario Veit twice

Even though he got wacked badly by Lopez, Daniel Ponce de Leon springs to mind.

Your answer is completely ignorant and wrong.

The question asks for high PUNCH output, not high SLAP output.

I believe the questions pretty straight forward. Any level (not just the top level). Boxer's who rely on high output to win, or make competitive bouts. A guy who pretty much doesn't stop throwing, maybe open to getting countered...but overall has a good deal of success with it (ultimately relies on non-stop punching), upsets his opponents rhythm, and makes it a tough night.

It doesn't really take a lot of skill to have a high punch output, no doubt it takes stamina and conditioning though.

Margarito by a wide wide margin.

Especially if you factor in the "rather than skill" part.
(I'm not saying he's not skilled, I respect the warrior)

First time I saw him fight was against Toney. I thought it was weird seeing him standing up in between rounds instead of taking that short break like many boxers. However, he did sit after that 11th round and consequently he was knocked down in the 12th.
