So? It's still a sh*t win for Pacquiao. Added nothing to his legacy.

    RESUME
    - Marco Antonio Barrera x2 * Barrera 1, impressive win
    - Juan Manuel Marquez x2 * draws, fights could have been given to either
    - Erik Morales x2 * faded
    - Oscar De La Hoya * loss within 2 fights
    - Ricky Hatton * loss within 2 fights
    - Miguel Cotto * loss within 2 fights
    - Antonio Margarito * loss within 2 fights
    - Shane Mosley * loss within 2 fights
    - Timothy Bradley * closer than people believe but Pac won that

    - Brandon Rios * loss within 2 fights

Pac has the highest Cherrypick index. See the pattern of fighting fighters who have lost recently? Not that impressive.

Head to head, Pac and JMM are equal. On paper, Pac's resume is filled with names (thanks to Arum), but they were fighting on name, shells of their former selves. Based on names, Pac has the greater resume. In reality, it's a toss up.

Of course you will say that .

If the tables were turned and it was Floyd that fought 165 pound margarito and beat the hell out of him and hospitalized him the way Pac did .

You will screaming out to everyone on here how much Floyd was a complete animal in that fight . and rubbing it in everyones faces about how Floyd destroyed him and saying its def in his "top 10 wins" .

Given the fact it was a "former flyweight" (106 pounds) that handed out that kind of beating to a tough opponent like Margarito who had many advantages coming into the fight ( Weight, size , reach, chin) makes its a good win .

Hate or love Pac , you have no choice but to respect his accomplishments .

Lets just see the whens the next time a former 106 pound fighter competes at the Jr middleweight division .

    Dont hold your breath...

I'd say that for Floyd too but you'd probably say it first. Anyway, beating a fighter who hadn't beaten a decent opponent in two years, who had gotten destroyed by your previous opponent and then facing him at a catchweight? Yeah it adds nothing to your resume.

    Its a legit win .

Like i said . Lets just wait and see whens the next time a flyweight wins a belt in the jr middleweight division .

It wont ever happen again . That alone will show you how extraordinary feat is .

What Manny did will never be repeated again .

He wasn't a flyweight when he fought him. He also fought him at a catchweight. And Margarito wasn't a champ and hadn't beaten a decent opponent in two years. Is it a legit win? Sure. It's on his record. But adds nothing to his legacy. "Oooh look, I used to be a flyweight 100 years ago and now I just moved up and beat a guy whose done absolutely squat at this weight!"

112 (vs. Sasakul), 126 (vs. Barrera), 130 (vs. Marquez), 140 (Hatton)

    * Not sure on the 130 part, whom he won it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I just don't understand how it does nothing for Pac.

You are seriously underrating Margarito and the size difference

So we're awarding points because a welterweight fought a mediocre 154lber? Sorry, not here.

Pac's resume is missing Chatchai Sasakul, the lineal Flyweight Champion. Remarkable early career win that should be noted.

Pac has the better overall resume clearly, no getting around that.

It's quite clearly Pacquiao. Marquez may be better, but the resumes aren't exactly close.

So Mayweather might become the second fighter ever to do so if he beats Alvarez on Saturday? Nice.

    It literally does zero. Nothing.

I'm amazed by people who would rate it as one of his top 10 or 15 victories.

I literally think of it as a No Contest.

Who gives a damn about size and size alone. If that were the case, all of the HW's who have ever beaten Julius Long should get a cookie because he probably outweighs most of his opponents by a similar % as this fight.
