^ Steroid or not Marquez dusted my boy Pac

This doesn't change the fact that Pac is still 2-1-1 against him and ranks higher due to resume.

Marquez has a much lighter resume than Pac overall but still a good one. Marquez earned every bit of respect he gets though, and he gained me as a fan no matter what happens with his waning career.

I still hold Pac higher despite the rivalry.

Simply put, their resumes or ATG standing is not defined only by their series. Although it benefits Marquez in a great way. We can give Marquez the moral victory (I still have it 2-2 but the KO more than evens it out) and the recognition as a superior fighter skillwise. However...

What Pac has ahead of Marquez was not just titles, we can disregard those paper titles and still have Pac ahead. One reason is Pac has fought at a higher level much longer than Marquez did. He has started to come into his own after the Barrera win, and went on to high profile matches. After the Pac draw, Marquez still (not his fault if he's mismanaged but still affected him) toiled in nondescript fights and also even lost to Chris John.

It took him a few years to make a move. Pac all the while has already fought at a higher weight class.

One more thing that makes Pac's achievments a bit more remarkable. The argument that Pac is not on Marquez level in terms of skill. If he didn't have the ability, then it's a marvel that he managed to upend men with superior skillset and who are physically much bigger.

As great as Hearns was , He never started his career at 106 pounds .

You say Margarito ran from Garcia , but he damn sure didnt run from Pacquiao .

He told everyone Manny better be ready for a war and Antonio delivered .

Where Hearns started 16 years before is irrelevant, just like with Pacquiao. 144lbs is welter, in case you didn't know.

    Pacquiao by far! :deal

Pacquiao is 2-1-1 (Marquez knocked down 5 times) officially and that is why Marquez doesn't want any part of Pacquiao or Provodnikov who can end Marquez's cry baby career.

Add to that its highly unlikely many of the welters/JMW's would have been able to do that much damage against Margo. The guy for all the concrete and other issues, was still a madman who kept coming forward and had decent power albeit accumulative

I personally don't think JMM would have lasted the distance in that fight (all about styles)

Also against Cotto would have been the same.

It's because JMM has Pac's number. Simple as that.
