No, and it doesn't work like that

First it was a competitive fight, there may be a rematch which Froch is favoured to win this time

second, you judge greatness on resume as well as H2H, you know Buster Douglas ko'd mike tyson right?

so by your logic Douglas>Tyson ATG

It's close.. It may come down to how you rate the SMW versions of Taylor and Pascal.

The S6 created unreal hype that isnt a true reflection of the SMW division
Kessler has done alot more than Froch overall

Kessler has beaten SMW champs, WBA champ Siaca, future WBA regular champ undefeated Sartison, 3 time and reigning WBC champ Beyer, WBC champ undefeated Froch, former and future WBA champ Mundine, former WBC champ Lucas when world rated, undefeated Andrade.
Froch has only beaten one top SMW who wasnt faded and who has really done something at SMW in Bute. Dirrell, Pascal, Johnson have not done a thing at SMW and Abraham has a debateable win over Steiglitz that Andrade when prime got rid of in about 8 rounds

    Kessler ---------- Froch best wins

Froch WBC champ ----------- Bute (Froch the better win)
Beyer WBC champ ----------- Pascal (Beyer the better SMW win)
Andrade -------------------- Abraham (Andrade the better SMW win)
Siaca WBA champ ----------- Johnson (Siaca the better SMW win)
Mundine 2 time WBA champ--- Dirrell Mundine the better win)
Sartison --------------------- Taylor (Sartison the better SMW win)
Lucas ----------------------- Reid (Prime Reid would have been a better win than Lucas, but due to Reid being shot and Lucas still world rated, Lucas is the better win)

For me Kessler has done more as Taylor was 1-2 in his last 3 fights. Abraham was coming in off a loss, Pascal wasnt even top 10 rated at the time, Johnson has lost more at SMW than won and his biggest win was Green coming in off a loss,

    Kessler

    Undoubtedly. :rofl

And he aint getting no younger, yet he continues to fight meaningless bouts.

I could agree with Magee a yr or two ago, IF Kessler was being forced by a mandate into the fight, but with Abraham fighting a shot LMW in his next bout, Kessler should have demanded that fight.

Froch's win over Bute is better than Kesslers win over Froch.

As crazy as that sounds, sometimes sense just don't make sense.:yep

Froch has one of the most legendary runs in all of boxing which will unlikely be bettered any time soon. H2H I think Kessler is clearly superior, but if you judge a fighter on overall resume then I can't see how he's ahead of Froch.

It's still not set in stone though.

Neither of them are ATG's, but they might make the smw atg rankings. Based on resume I would place Froch ahead of Kessler

I'm a fan of both, but imo its Froch and it's not close. Kessler has Froch and Andrade, who really counts in my book. Where Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham, Johnson and Bute are better wins

Why dont you explain how Pascal who did nothing at all at SMW and wasnt even a top 10 SMW is higher than SMW champs Beyer or Siaca.
    You cant.
Or even how Andrade who at SMW in the previos era destroyed Steiglitz who Abraham could only get a debateable decision over.
How about how Dirrell who hasnt and hadnt done a thing at SMW goes above Mundine, who is a 2 time SMW champ with a greated resume.
    Once again you cant,

Dinovelvet not only gets pwned by me, but still cant get a way into Team Elite

Pascal wasnt even a top 10 SMW and did nothing at the weight
Taylor didnt do a thing at SMW and was 1-2 coming in
Dirrell has done nothing at SMW at all
Abraham was coming in off a loss and only got a debateable decision over Steiglitz who Andrade wiped the floor with, who Kessler beat whne undefeated.
Abraham has lost more than won at SMW and is a SMW journeyman.
Bute was a good win, but Kessler has the win over Froch and Beyer.

Kessler has beaten reigning SMW champs in Beyer, Siaca, Froch.
Sartison who became a champ at SMW, Mundine who had been a champ at SMW and became a champ again at the weight. The only SMW champ Froch beat of note was Bute. Abraham won a SMW title but that was against Steiglitz who andrade who Kessler beat destroyed.

I think Kessler has done alot more, but its opinions

Kessler beat Froch, unified titles at smw, has a longer title reign, has beaten 6 smw world champions (close to the time they were champion or were currently champion).

Froch lost to kessler, hasn't unified titles, has a shorter title reign, has beaten 3 world champions. Until he beat Bute he had only won vacant titles.

Out of the two of them, Kessler has the best win.

Froch's time at the top came when the division was enjoying a higher profile, due to the super6, so his wins achieve more prestige. So beating someone like 42 year old Glen Johnson is thought of as a great win.
