Kessler I always felt could have done just more i know it sounds bad and im a fan of his but he really kind of didnt meet the potential he was a unified champ and was going to fight Calzaghe and for 5 or 6 rounds it was close and this was the high water mark of his career Then Calzaghe swept the end and Kessler was on a lay off, he came back and in 3 fights regained a belt and defended but not vs the whose who most would assume without Calzaghe he would rule the division and not many held the loss against him considering he came to fight and Joe was just better that night well the Super 6 occurred and he was a giant favorite but lost an upset to an unproven about to be king of the 168 pound mountain he won a version of the title again by beating Froch in an overall great fight but then pulled out of the tourney then since then he has been pulling out of fight after fight which to me was dubious, i wasnt so sold on the legitimacy of his reasons to withdraw from so many bouts anyway my point is he has been disappointing, i know its hard to say a 3 time champ who isnt done yet is a disappointment but if you look at where his career was going he never quite achieved the dominance in the division that was expected of him post Calzaghe I know it may sound cruel but he looked like he could be a dominant unified champ and now he is MIA, has a big fight coming up many would probably pick him but i feel he never lived to his standard Froch like Kessler is a fighter i like and enjoy watching, i think his resume speaks for itself...i also dont think he gets enough credit for his boxing skill many label him an unskilled brawler and thats just wrong Id love a Kessler rematch if Kessler beats Magee
