    And why?

Can you give a range of their respective ATG rankings?

    Cakzaghe for me

the best super middleweight in history, dominated that division for what 10 years? till he moved up to light heavy

undefeated as well always brings your stature up a bit, the fact he was a world champ for so long and eventually the undisputed middle weight champ after his prime

statistics don't make you a 'great fighter'.
who you fought and when you fought them do.

Calzaghe fought Hopkins when Hopkins was consensus top four P4P in the world. That do for you?

Both very good fighters, but shouldn't be considered a Top 5 of all time in their respective weight divisions.

    Jeezuz.

I like Calzaghe, but, of recent British fighters, he's behind both Lewis and Naz who were both the dominant forces of their divisions for years. Calzaghe was almost certainly the best for a number of years, but didn't really earn that distinction until the Lacy fight.

For me, Calzaghe had a great career: unbeaten, all the belts, one truly great performance (Lacy), one truly special victory (the BHop win was that good, both were past their best but still p4pers), and a few other highlights.

But he didn't go out and dominate that division, as Lewis and Naz dared to do. Lewis has a legion of special performances, consistently top opposition (with the exception of BHop, none of Calzaghe's wins compares to Holyfield, Klitschko, Tua, Golota), and, for my money, would quite clearly compete with any heavyweight ever. For example, Lewis might lose to Ali, but he'd give him one helluva fight. Calzaghe would lose badly to a prime Jones or Toney.
