Lewis beat Klitschko, Holyfield, Briggs, Mercer, Morrison, Tyson, Bowe, Bruno, Tua, Golota, Mavrovic, Grant, and Akinwande. No way in hell all of those guys were over the hill, it isn't close Lewis blows Calzaghe out by lightyears.

Lewis didn't beat Bowe as a pro, Bowe trew his WBC belt in the trash so he didn't have to fight him.
But of course Lewis is by far the bigger ATG! :good

Boxed ears beat me to it ;)

Klitschko was a debatable victory as the result wasnt clear, and imo he should have rematched him.

Holyfield was past his best and Bowe had beaten him better than Lewis did. Also i though Holyfield nicked the rematch.

    Tyson was shot to ****.

    Bowe was in the amatuers.

    The Mercer win was debatable.

He was losing the Bruno fight but turned it round and finished it beautifully.

Akinwande, Mavrovic, Tua, Golota and Grant :lol:are all lower level fighters apart from Grant and Mavrovic who well im not going to say what i think of their talents.

Lewis is the better fighter resume wise and ATG status but h2h i think Calzaghe would win.

    Calzaghe.

The Rahman and McCall defeats sway it in Joe's favour.

In what way wasn't it clear?
And why should he have granted Vitali a rematch?
And do you not think Calzaghe should've rematched Reid & Hopkins?

A win by technical knockout is as clear as you can get without actually putting someone to sleep or murdering them.

    What are you talking about?

Calzaghe and DM had completely different styles.

Weren't nearly all of Calzaghe's best wins against opponents that were past their best?

Hopkins beat him, I felt he nicked the fight with Reid by a point..... Richie Woodhall gave him a serious argument.

The list of opponents Calzaghe didn't face is comparable to the one that he did face, which speaks volumes for the lack of depth in his resume.

Lewis faced everyone barring Bowe, who wasn't interested, Ruiz, who wasn't long removed from being iced in about 7 seconds and Byrd, who was mandatory after the Tyson fight, when Lewis took time to consider his future.

It's easy to say Tyson was shot to ****, but Lewis was also well on the slide by then, and he holds a win over a prime Klitschko, his successor at the head of the division.

For nine years Calzaghe reigned as WBO champion, but at that time there were many co-existing champions..... Lewis sought to unify the titles with Holyfield and only lost them due to politricks.

    :?

If the face is still partially connected, that's not a clear result?!

Since Lewis didn't outright decapitate him, the decision to call it was a little murky.

Just because fights are close doesn't mean that it is debatable, if that is the case plenty of fighters have debatable records.

And you want to know why Lewis didn't fight Bowe in the Pros? because Bowe shits his pants everytime he hears the name Lennox Lewis. the man threw his belt into the garbage to get out of a fight with Lewis.

Besides, if you discount the Golota win as him being lower teir, then you have to discount Bowe because Bowe was getting his ass whopped by Golota. Unfortunately for Golota, he is bi-polar or some **** and boxed Bowe's nuts in.

So what of Lewis's wins over Botha, Mason, Tucker and Ruddock? the man crushes Calzaghe in every category, Lewis' career pisses on Calzaghe's.
