Im not arguing that Bowe would have beaten Lewis, nor am i arguing that Bowe was a great fighter.


Plus i think you will find that a fair few people had Holyfield and Mercer beating Lewis in their matches.

As for Lewis's victories over Botha, Mason they arent even worth debating.

But the Ruddock win was a great victory for him.

As for categories h2h Lewis doesnt **** all over Calzaghe, ill just throw one out...for instance chin:hey

Lewis by a mile. Calzaghe fought C class fighters as super middleweight champ from 97-06 when he fought Lacy. Since then he fought over the hill fighters like Hopkins and Jones, yet still was floored by the both of them early in there fights.

Lewis was a dominate champ that ducked noone, unlike Calzaghe who fought to hometown crowds most of his career.

 

Dominate a fairly strong HW division or fight noone and be #1 in a fairly weak SMW division, at least for the most part of his career. Pretty easy.

He should have granted Vitali a rematch as for one he agreed to and secondly the cut was just as bad in the early rounds as it was when it was stopped, also Lewis was behind on the cards.

Calzaghe should have rematched Reid as that fight was closer than the Hopins fight imo. Infact i had Reid winning that fight. As for Hopkins i thought Calzaghe won the fight by about 3 rounds.

 

Love Joe Calzaghe but Lewis wins in every department.

You're suggesting that a 16-0 Lewis should have fought Tyson considering:

A) He was 16-0
B) He didn't even get a shot till May 93, THAT'S when he was considered ready, a full 2 years after you're suggesting he should have fought Tyson.atsch
C) Tyson was going for his rematch with Ruddock.

Fact is if Tyson had kept his ass out of jail the fight would have happened, stop blaming Lewis you muppet.
