Do you know Europe is not a country? Do you know the countries within aren't fans of eachother? It's not a country like the US and A. Thats a country. Europe is not a country. I don't see why any non-british europeans would vote for Calzaghe. At least being european wouldn't be the reason. If you had said british or welsh folk, that would be valid. But come on now. It's like saying Canadians would be fans of Americans because they are north american.

Nobody in America even knew who Calzaghe was until 2005.

I know there are other fighters May defeated, like Angel Manfredy (is he worth mentioning?), Zab Judah, Brusseles, ODLH, Castillo, Baldomir, but many

have question mark attached to them.

Corrales is the fight that actually defined Mayweather. Corrales was undefeated, with devastating KO percentage, and was slightly the favorite going into the fight. No one can question Corrales' condition at the time of the fight.

Calzaghe on the other hand was supposed to be the underdog against a devastating puncher.

I think it is a fair comparison.

Just as Calzaghe vs. Roy Jones or Bernard Hopkins is comparable to May vs. ODLH probably; or Cal vs. Manfredy is comparable to May vs. Manfredo.

It is really hard to compare a fighetr with thin resumes because there is no point to point comparison.

Calzaghe is very good with what he does just like Mayweather, different styles but equally good. Calzaghe used to KO his opponets (taken on context of quality of opposition) early in his career, just like Mayweather. However, towards the end or tail of their careers, Calzaghe's opposition improved whereas, Mayweather tapered (here comes the floydettes again - want to bet?).

Only time can tell as to who is higher ATG. History has way of reaaranging everything.

in 1980's, whoever would have thought that Duran would be ranked higher eventually than SRL in ATG would be labelled idiot!

Both are most the 100 ATGs but when all is say in done, Floyd will be a lot higher up than Joe.

That shows your ignorance. You should have seen Calzaghe in his prime in 2005 the was already beltholder for 8 years

true or not, he simply did not have a key victory. most people did not know hopkins, or hopkins well, before trinidad. can't blame the world for not knowing him when he didn't get a decisive victory before lacy
