He did look good against Quarry there, to be honest. Okay, Frazier may have still had a little left after Foreman, but perhaps we should also be crediting Morales with giving Pacquiao hell in their second fight, and fighting a bigger man in Diaz and in most peoples eyes, winning in 07. In any event, Morales still trumps him on longevity, and the ability to bounce back from defeat.
Not really. We're giving Frazier credit for giving the greatest of all time hell in a close loss, you're giving Morales credit for giving David Diaz hell in a close loss. Morales didn't really bounce back at all post Pacquiao, losing to the likes of Raheem in the process, while Frazier dominated guys like Quarry and Bugner. I'd definitely say Frazier bounced back more convincingly when past his prime. And as we've just shown, Morales really doesn't hold much an edge in either longevity or resume, if any at all. In that case, it all comes down to ability, and in my eyes Frazier was more proven and quite a ways more efficient at his best than Morales. For that reason, he holds the clear edge in this debate.
No disrespect intended for Morales, who's a great fighter/warrior, but Frazier's performance in the FOTC, and the significance of it tops anything by Morales.
