Higher Quality version of Arnold Taylor vs Romeo Anaya

    As we all know, the full footage of the 1973 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year was not filmed in full, was uploaded as just round 14 at one point and then a dingy version of the highlights, I've thankfully found an HD version of those 12min highlights.

    Awesome.

    Interesting that reports previously painted this fight as a one sided beatdown; but these highlights illustrate that Taylor was clearly in the fight throughout and had his fair share of glittering moments, including a KD of his own in the fifth. I know it's incomplete, but even based on these highlights this probably gets rated higher on my personal all time fight list as a result.

    I actually mentioned that to a friend of mine that in my ranking I'm currently doing of top 100 greatest fights, i had excluded the thought of putting incomplete fights in like a Marciano Charles 1, Barney McLarnin (any), or even a Jeff Franklin vs Lupe Gutierrez where it's missing 4 of the 12 rounds, but this fight has at least a piece of every single round where have a fight that shows the first couple, skips the whole middle & shows bits and pieces of the end.

    Fantastic quality - finally, a watchable version of the most complete footage of the fight that I’m aware of. I think The Ring ranked this as the 20th greatest title fight in history in one of their polls.
