Based on Ring IQ , from A to F how do you rate the fighters you follow ?

    Floyd A+
    Ward A+
    Calzaghe A
    Hopkins A
    McCallum A-
    Toney B+
    Marquez B+
    De La Hoya C
    Pacquiao B
    Inoue B
    Ortiz Jr C

Lower rankings for the fighters who like to rush in or are great at using their athletic gifts but not having the brains to adjust.

    Juan Diaz D-
    Shane Mosley Jr D
    Rolando Romero F
    Isaac Cruz D-

    What are your picks?

Fury - A+ (Excellent ring IQ. Doesn't really need much of a plan, just comes up with the right thing at the right time. Knows how to survive, and change his style whenever)
Usyk - A+ (If only he was physically gifted, he'd be a monster).
Joshua B+ (Good ring IQ, but still a work in progress in terms of his execution).
Whyte - C+ Has improved, proved vs Povetkin first time around, against Rivas and against Parker that he can alter his style, work behind a jab, but his ring IQ is still limited. He still throws wildly, and leaves himself exposed and doesn't stick to improvement often enough.
Ruiz Jr - C Is observant and times well, but I don't see him improving much IQ wise. He's clever enough to time his shots and be patient, but wont be taught much new, other than discipline.
Chisora - C- (Not dumb, but is mainly about heart. Only so much you can teach him. Better than average boxer, but not great ring IQ.).
Wilder - F Best he can do is land the right hand. He had the potential to be better, but too much ego and over confidence by beating bums for too long.

Haye - D ; against Klichko he ran, against Bellew his strategy was fully ******ed and he looked really bad doing it. He had some good fights, so its not F

Haye's toe betrayed him at the worst moments, he had great timing on his right hand and good head movement but losing to Bellew was the lowest of the lows of his career.

A couple of the worst ring IQs well known in British boxing are as follows.

Dave Allen- F: Defending punches with your face isn't a good idea if you want a long career with no long term health issues.

Ted Cheeseman- E: Another one who too often defends punches with their face. But the frustrating thing is that he does have the basic boxing skills to defend himself but just gets too excited.

Let rounds go due to inactivity. He shouldn't have listened to his father.

I don't think I'd rate Lomachenko that high, he's technically very proficient but he needs to learn to win ugly to get even an A- in my books.

How can Loma be A++? Did the radar go missing against Teofimo and Salido?

Allen was lucky that Usyk's punch in sparring cleared his head and he retired or else he seemed like the poster boy for CTE documentaries.

The Salido bout in his second match does not speak badly for him since other boxers fight cans.
