what I'm saying is, that maybe on paper Mike was getting big money back in the day, but how much cash money was he actually earning? and how much was going to King, at least 50% I'm sure. Then look at Oscar for the Pac/Floyd fights, his promotion company, his name, no promoters, no managers, just Oscar and the people under him. I doubt Mike ever earned more than $5 million max for any one fight, Oscar is probablly earning $15-20 million per fight these days, minimum.

    DLH. Definitely!

I am so sure because I actually saw them discussing it on UK Sports news today.

EDIT: In fact. It wasn't on the news that I saw it. Well, it was but it was from yesterdays news and I watched it on YouTube when I was searching for the latest videos about Saturday nights/Sunday Morning's fight. I can probably find it again, if you would like some proof.

I don't see Mike running the biggest boxing promotions company in the world and taking a cut from most of the superfights staged these days. I don't see Mike buying Ring magazine, or successfully developing property, or signing deals with Spanish language TV stations to stage fights, I don't see Mike having a quality guy like Schafer on his team. Nor do I see Oscar going round to working mens clubs and the like to give after dinner speches for $1000 like Tyson is doing these days.

m8 i don't want to be funny with you but your talking out of your ass and you obviously don't understand the question, tyson doesn't have any money now because he is a tit and wasted it all that has no relevance to him earning more than odlh. The question was who is the highest earning boxer ever, the fact i that is tyson, odlh might have a hundred times more cah than tyson but that doesn't make him the highest earning boxer ever.

You are the one who doesn't understand the question.

The question is not: Who earned the most money from fighting?
The question is: Who is the highest earning boxer?

    you see the difference??

tyson was the highest earning boxer ever, he has eanred more than odlh and wasted it, he used to earn more than odlh does for fights and if you use a comparison from past years the money would be worth more.

If you are taking into account, simply, money from fights that directly involved Tyson and Hoya, then MAYBE, Tyson earned more. But seeing as Hoya has the PPV records these days, and Tyson split everything with King, it is a big maybe.

But that wasn't the question, and you know it. Hoya earns more because he has many more reveue streams from buissness investments and Golden Boy. Tyson had one revenue stream that was shared with King, Hoya has half a dozen that he manages himself, therefore Hoya is, in reality, the highest earning boxer ever. By a long way. Simple as that, be a man, admit you're wrong.
