    Yes, but Chagaev didn't defend the WBA title against Ruiz. He fought Ruiz in an eliminator before facing Valuev.

    Not bad for a former kick boxer who was probably around 40 at the time.

    Skelton v Danny Williams 1st fight was very entertaining on ITV around 2006

    Skelton was a very tough, rough and ready guy; an entertaining domestic-level scrapper, but never world class.

    I'm not sure how he got his shot at the WBA strap, but - to be fair, he did go the distance against a respectable titleholder.
    He was never seriously in it, though.
