I was going to post similar a few days ago when someone asked or in fact hoped that they wouldn't show Groves on the card! Hayemaker are quite pally with GBP so I had sneaky feeling his fight would be shown and I'm glad it is.
so david haye is going to be in his corner,wonder if haye wasent doing his corner wether it would be shown
Was hoping for somebody a little bit better than this. Hopefully he looks great and wins spectacularly, then returns to fighting more credible opposition.
TBH its about what I expected given the circumstances, they don't want Groves to labour to a points win, he needs a stoppage for the highlight clip.
Disappointing opponent but at least he's out there I suppose, this fight must be more about the experience of the occasion than anything I guess.
this is true, I wonder when DeGale will man up and go across or travel outside the UK to fight. He's mouthing off that he wants Warren to fast track him. He wants fast tracked because Groves is going down the same route and has faced better or tougher oppo's than Degale.
the fact this guy faced Lemiuex in his 18th fight only last year shows it a decent enough tester for Groves it what is essentially a keep busy fight.
Thats some brilliant exposure for the lad......hopefully all the undercard fights don't go the full distance and he doesn't get bumped off. The choice of opponent is fine...gives Groves a chance to show his full offensive arsenal to the American public and get them wanting to see more. He should be defending his belt soon after this though, although I feel he will defend when Haye fights next as he is the only viable main support fighter for Hayes PPV shows.
