You were liking posts and fine with the 'Highly-touted Eastern European and Central Asian Busts' thread

Yet you have a problem with this one.....................

Lol I don’t think Mr. Norris is the right guy to be accusing of biases. Pretty much a dude who just loves boxing.

OK I don't know him, but he certainly never wrote 'so' on the other thread (which inspired this one)

my favorite cuban has always been napoles. he was in the tail end of his career when i first started becoming a boxing nerd. so he was a prominent subject in most of the boxing rags i used to read at the magazine stand in the grocery store, while my mom shopped. in the 50 years since i havent been excited about a cuban fighter to that degree.
i dont think the cuban school is suited for the pro ranks. they are strictly boxing. in the pros, fighting is just as important. you have to know how to get hit, and be willing to get hit, if the end result is winning the fight.

Depends on your definition of bust. 2 names I'd list:

    Orestes Velazquez
    Yoelvis Gomez

I think the Benavidez fight took something out of Morrell...he didn't look good in last fight. Time will tell

Kind of ridiculous to put Cruz on there for getting 7-5'd by Muratalla.
Robeisy also won a title and lost it to an A class fighter.
Luis Ortiz was top 5 for many years.
    Morrell isn't a bust either.

One guy who actually was a bust is Ramon Garbey. Great am who only reached fringe level at cruiser.

Plenty of the guys here are still active or were world champions. Your career is very far from being a bust if you manage to become a world champion in the pros, which is still an extraordinary feat even if it has been diluted over time.

Did you watch Morrell´s fight with Kalajdzic? The Imam performance is actually his ceiling, and Imam himself is not a bad boxer, hes probably actually one of the 10 best at Super-Middleweight right now, or at least close to it.
Oh, and Kalajdzic arguably got robbed, but no one ever talks about it.

Highly touted fighters are snuffed out in most cases, think about it.
