Seems very much like he is trying to get Ricky riled, not Floyd. Why would he care what state of mind Ricky is in if he has no worries about this fight?

What "proof"? You thinking his arms looked smaller (ON THE DAY OF A WEIGH IN) 18 months ago isn't "proof".

He's made 140 twice since then, the last time 5 months ago, under the same trainer, when he went 11 rounds.

Thanks for the mental image of Eskimos carving up a beached Hatton for muktuk... :blood

I like how Roach uses half the letter to shill his snake oil. Maybe his next letter will include a coupon book.

He looks like a wax statue in the 2nd pic.

    A melting one, at that.

Hatton's said numerous times already that his weight has been spot on, why do people always want to find problems that aren't there ?

i agree that this thread was funny, but, i think, it underscores a serious issue. ricky, despite all odds and logic, has actually never struggled notably to lose the weight he packs on between fights, i give him that. but i have seen an awful lot of fighters, over the years, from local club hucksters to world champions, try to stretch the body's elasticity into their 30's and come up suddenly and achingly short when the body stops recycling itself so cleanly...this usually happens suddenly, overnight, as they say.

don't get me wrong, i have seen ricky at every stage of camp and before in the lead up to this pacquiao fight and he seems to be looking fine...looking like he'll get to 140 in time. the fact that this matchup is a stylistic nightmare for him is another thing entirely. but, unless ricky retires very soon, which i assume he will, i fear that he will start to miss weight or suffer some extreme plunge in stamina or ability...no matter how lucky a fighter is in terms of his body bouncing back from abuse, it catches up sooner or later and, if later, usually more dramatically.

sorry again, ricky weighed in 2 lbs light vs may coming in at 145. in the most recent pic he appears to weigh at least 10 lbs heavier. if he makes it, hes gonna be zapped. plus hes already 6 weeks into his camp so most of that weight should have been gone weeks ago.

This is a non issue being that Floyd Sr. doesn't read.

Hatton is always looks 'drained' at the weigh in. That training picture means **** all, stop clutching at straws.

This was on fightnews a few days ago:

Floyd Mayweather Sr., trainer of Ricky Hatton, received an unexpected gift today at the IBA Gym in Las Vegas, where Hatton is preparing for his May 2 showdown against Manny Pacquiao. Top Rank press agent Lee Samuels hand-delivered a fancy box from rival trainer Freddie Roach. The box, topped with a bow and a “Second Place” ribbon, contained a bottle of vitamins (“The Undisputed Weight Loss Formula!” by BioJestic, endorsed by Roach) and a T-shirt with a web link by the “Undisputed Weight Loss Champion” that was meant to aid Mayweather’s fighter in reaching the 140-pound goal for the May 2 showdown. Mayweather, however, simply borrowed a Sharpie from a nearby photographer and scrawled, “Too Late” on the T-shirt , pointing to Hatton’s six-pack of abs.

Those pictures are from different angles, under different lighting etc Hatton always looks drawn/ ripped at his weigh ins. Do you seriously think that after 46 fights at 140 that Hatton doesn't know where he needs to be 2 weeks before a fight in order to do the weight OK?

We're lucky to have all these experts/ boxing insiders here on ESB.
