Your right Iceman, he DID pull out out of two fights with those guys and we all know why, so he probably should stfu but the "Toblerone" line is a classic and as we would nearly all agree that America is where the heavyweight championship fights should take place (For historical and financial reasons) the fact that the last I don't know how many title fights (Minus The Arreola fight) have taken place in Europe does say rather a lot for the lack of interest in the heavyweight scene, outside of true boxing fans. Haye is simply talking himself into a bigger pay-day (Provided he doesn't get ko'd first!!!) by creating anticipation (Even if people only tune in to see him get hammered, it's extra £s in his pocket) and whilst the t-shirt incident pissed me off (And i'm British and a Haye fan, for my sins) I can't really fault him for trying to earn as much as he can for a fight he can't (imo) win.
Vitali is an extremely intelligent guy and i'm sure he's earning a huge sum, but he would undoubtedly earn a whole lot more if he had the interest of the American public. Those are the people who make you the mega bucks. David has only just won his "Title" and he is undoubtedly the worst champion of the three, but if you were to ask the average American "Who is the heavyweight champion of the world?" Just how many would say "That big-mouthed English *******, Haye! I can't wait to watch him get dropped!!"? When really they should be saying "Those two classy Ukrainian brothers are far the best and are great ambassadors for their sport". My point is this: David Haye has a very short career ahead of him at heavyweight so he is looking to make as much as he can as quick as he can and the only way for him to do that apart from being a great champion (which he obviously isn't) is to ***** the public conscience with his constant bull-****. Let us not forget, he has his own promotional company, so the stakes are higher than ever.
Just a bunch of **** from a big mouth ******* that the british love. Doesnt say much for the british mentality does it.
Sorry mate, gotta disagree with you on this. Those two guys have never ducked anyone and they certainly wouldn't duck David Haye. If they walked it wouldn't make any difference, but they wont. If anything the two brothers have a laugh to themselves about fighting him because Haye is doing a fantastic job of promoting the fight!! Love him, like him or hate him, almost all boxing fans would love to see David Haye fight either brother and will happily pay to watch that fight! And, more importantly, the general public will pay to watch that fight!! Which is all that matters to all concerned.
:good I'm British and a Haye fan. I also admire the Klitschkos and I feel they will both be unjustly underrated when we consider their standing in the all-time heavyweight ranks (particularly Vitali).Imo Wlad would stop/ko David in 6 and Vitali will do the job quicker. Against Wlad, David has got a slight chance. Against Vitali he has none!!
