It's not that suprising that the hometown paper of one of the worlds most popular fighters, excuses PACMAN from fighting a trilogy when he's already 2 up.

Just like it woudn't be suprising if the TJ times said they should get in the ring again.

Bias and ill-informed... calling Juan Diaz the WBC lightweight champion.

The ones saying there's no need for JMM-PacMan 3 are the ones who are really afraid of what JMM might do in the 3rd fight... or if the judges will give the fight for the man who won more rounds, was more accurate, landed more etc...

The real supporters of PacMan want a trilogy because they like great fights and they are confident that for the 3rd time Manny will win in a more dramatic way...

A third fight makes so much sense that it is ridiculous. It shouldn't even be a question. A Draw and a one-point margin rematch? I question whether there has been, in history, a pair of fighters that needed a third match so dearly.

ah... juan diaz is not the wbc lightweight champ, david is. the baby bull doesn't have a belt right now having lost to nate campbell.

@caper, about the avatar, do you have a bigger picture of it? :D

i absolutely agree that most philippine newspapers do not have a clue how to write boxing articles.i think there is also a trend like that everywhere else. normal sports writers try to write about a big boxing match and they end up looking like total fools

That article should be a good example of how NOT to write a boxing column
