Yeah, I believe so, but it wouldnt be easy. Kenty's speed and jab would give him alot of trouble early, plus Kenty could crack. I just dont think he had what it takes to beat out Ray in the long haul. Mancini grinds him down, and probably stops him around the 11th or 12th. This is of course, Kenty at his best, like he was against Espana. The sick Kenty that fought Sean O'Grady would get stopped in 6 by Mancini, cause Ray hit alot harder than O'Grady and was more aggressive.
Kenty seemed to have a leg cramping problem. Ray would wear him down. How was Kenty sick against Sean? I have watched that fight several times and he did not appear to have TB or anything. And fighters always say they have a cold after losing or not performing up to their abilities. O'Grady just beat the crap out of him and would have done so no matter which Kenty showed up that day. Cosell was so bad announcing that fight. The knockdown that O'Grady scored early was clearly a right to the chin. But because of the downward trajectory of the punch, Cosell said it was a body punch. It also took Cosell a few rounds to realize that what was happening in the ring was not in sync with his preconceived notions of what was supposed to happen.
Before the fight even started, Cossel mentioned that Kenty was coming off a bad cold, and that Manny Steward was afraid it would affect him. Not taking too much away from O'Grady though, cause Sean fought one helluva fight that night and probably woulda beaten Hilmer regardless.
