I've got ol' reliable Keyhole TV fired up, watching some Japanese commercials. (too lazy to find another free way to watch Fuji)

I was about to start typing "wow this girl with the short bob of pinkish-blond hair in the stripey Waldo shirt playing soccer and mugging for the camera in this commercial is really cute"...and then said player charged up a super high-five (aided by a Kamehameha style graphic) with somebody else walking onscreen from the opposite direction, and they both said "blah-blah" - in distinctly male voices.

sorry I haven't got a link to share, per se....go download Keyhole TV real quick if you don't have it. Legal service provided by Japan's government for expats, that airs most channels that show boxing in the country...you can watch 24/7, although quality is notoriously choppy and disconnects are frequent. No big deal, though, you just close and reopen the app. No sign-up BS, fees, or anything. Go. Do it.

 

Hiroki Inoue vs. Jheritz Chávez, 12 rounds @ light welterweight

 

This is for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific super lightweight title.

 

I guess it remains to be seen if they bother showing the co-feature (Ryō Matsumoto vs. Jinya Ito) after this, either in part or in whole.

 

Inoue, wearing yellow and red trunks, is the southpaw. Chávez has black and yellow, orthodox, with lots of tattoos.

 

Round 1

Chávez is pressing forward, putting up a left jab or sometimes just screening with that left arm, holding it horizontally and slamming it toward Inoue's face like a crossbar and then swinging wildly up top with a lasso right. Inoue using careful, economical footwork on the outside, sliding on the balls of his feet and playing long-range patty-cake, burying many right jabs into the guard, but sometimes abruptly squatting and pitching himself forward to score a hard incisive jab or quick 1-2 against the abdomen.

Round 2

Chávez is overreaching with his jab and getting his face pierced with the neatly lined up left hand leads of Inoue, who is giving himself plenty of space to maneuver. Inoue's feet much quicker and surer in their placement. Chávez plodding in with a high guard and taking ill-advised upward swipes with his left, countered every time. Inoue getting into a rhythm now, putting together straight lefts and quick right hooks while fading diagonally away before Chávez is able to retaliate with his shorter and slower limbs.
