    Round 3

Chávez trots out and is held at bay with the right jab of Inoue, flicked up & outward from his lead hip. Chávez encroaches with his intentions betrayed, left glove hovering in the air before he gets close enough to jab. Inoue shoots his right jab into Chávez's left glove to neutralize it, and locates pinpoint lefts on the face. Chávez showing a good chin but not a very strategic mind as he continues with the same approach over and over. Inoue melts to his left to slip a cannonball right from Chávez, very slick. Inoue popping in that left hand with a loud wet smack on the face of Chávez every time he ventures too close, firing it as either a standstill punch or pull-counter before swiveling his way free of the ropes.

    10-9 Inoue

    30-27 Inoue

    Round 4

Chávez is starting to get a clue now, eschewing the headhunting and instead diving in with sellout harpoon rights on the body. That does the proverbial trick, causing Inoue to mind his manners and mostly keep the left hand sheathed as he skirts the perimeter and feeds out a string of light southpaw jabs. Chávez is having repeated success diving in and stamping Inoue on the stomach with the right hand, but gets a little greedy up close and starts winging big fat left hooks up at the head, whistling through empty air. Inoue jabbing and moving.

    10-9 Chávez, very close

    39-37 Inoue

    Round 5

Chávez is looking confident after that strong fourth, chasing after Inoue and cutting loose with morning-star rights when he gets within a couple of paces. Inoue backing away steadily, not getting touched with much but not daring to let fly many counters. Inoue starts threading his way in, slapping down head shots in midair, then raising his right knee and pinching Chávez's left jabs between it and his right forearm. Inoue landing his right jab on the face stepping in and then beating a hasty retreat, a strategy of scoring points in a light trickle and then GTFO. At one point Inoue tries a big right hook, but Chávez blocks it and Inoue sprints away before he can pay for it.

    10-9 Inoue

    49-46 Inoue

    Round 6

Chávez increases the pace of his pressure, willingly marching through Inoue's jabs to just graze him with high-lunging overhand rights and some hooks on the body. Inoue trying whatever he can think of, changing directions, throwing jabs in multiples, quick stop-on-a-dime body-head combos - nothing deterring Chávez. Body shots piling up. Nice skewering 1-2 downstairs by Inoue, got the crowd excited, but Chávez didn't even skip a beat and Inoue was forced to flee seconds later.

    10-9 Chávez

    58-56 Inoue

    Round 7

Chávez bumrushes Inoue, attempting to decapitate him with an inside hook, but just grinding his underarm against Inoue's backside as he ducks and bumps him away with a low shoulder-tackle. Getting messy, ref asking them nicely to keep it tidy and maintaining a respectful distance. Inoue manages to get the 1-2 dialed in while creating distance, legs having regained their early spryness. Chávez is pushing the jab on the way in and then pantomiming hooks, leaving the horizontal arm held out like a riot shield as he runs toward Inoue. Chávez with the same focus on the body, except no longer able to reach as Inoue has begun to prance around the ring, back hugging the ropes. Inoue countering in light combos as Chávez advances, mostly 1-2-1-2s up top. Chávez presses in, dipping his upper body to either side in a staccato rhythm, looking for a big shot. Nice left uppercut by Inoue, seems to wind Chávez for a moment, but he resumes pressing in with no jab. Big mistake- Inoue, with his back against the ropes, boomerangs himself in past a sloppy Chávez left hook with a setup jab and lines up his biggest power shot of the day, a MASSIVE LEFT CROSS, sending Chávez tumbling ass over teakettle and that'll do it, right at the bell.

    KO7!!

    Hmm. :sisi1

Definitely would have been no shame in thinking so the way things had looked in the 4th until, really, the very last seconds of the 7th.

Quite a pretty KO, really. I feel bad now for those without Keyhole access, hopefully this winds up on YouTube.

Chavez is held down by the referee, although he falls down with Inoue's punch and stands up

From 1R, Chavez aggressively attacks with pressure, but Inoue doesn't rely on outboxing, and gradually attacks with jab, straight and body.
As I said after the match, “The first 12R was a little bit less,” Inoue did not have much work. Chavez stood up, but was unable to take a fighting pose in 10 counts, and KO won Inoue. The referee was holding a flirting Chavez.

From the left in front of the waiting room after the match, Takuma Inoue, Hiroki Inoue, Naoya Inoue

After winning the game, Inoue won, “I thought it would be left if I entered. The right hook was straight because I could see the opponent. I tried to watch the right hook and then connect it to the left straight. "I scattered it up and down," he said.

Chairman Ohashi will return the Inoue Japanese title in the future and reveal that there is an idea of a confrontation with a world ranker as a prelude to the world title, Inoue “I think next year will be a game year. I was enthusiastic. In front of the waiting room, my cousin, Naoya Inoue, gave a congratulations to Hiroki, “Congratulations, I ’m running tomorrow.”

Knockdown by Kuwuhara in the 1st, hard one. Just physically overwhelming Sueno from the get-go.
