Kyōguchi has the werewithal to, in between lighting Bermúdez up, take a step outside and tap himself on the nape of the neck to signal the ref that Bermúdez had just landed a clubbing right hand rabbit punch a moment earlier (also for the judges' benefit, very smart - in case they were thinking about factoring that shot into their scoring and hadn't seen from their angle it was illegal). Kyōguchi allowing Bermúdez to mow him into the ropes, sitting on them momentarily, and pumping hard jabs and crosses into the face, while uppercutting the abdomen. Kyōguchi making quick snappy pivots to play defense when Bermúdez starts his desperation scrambles, chucking leather half-blinded from the crimson mask. Kyōguchi does get clipped and maybe slightly buzzed from a Bermúdez looper just before the bell.

Kyōguchi bouncing his fists up into the face of Bermúdez with alternating uppercuts. Kyōguchi forced to retreat into the ropes and then clinch as Bermúdez just peppers him with body shots - nothing artful or connecting all that cleanly, just a vast multitude of them, while pitched forward with relentless persistence. Kyōguchi stringing together hooks and crosses even as Bermúdez is loading up wide haymakers bearing down on him.

Ha! Caught you red-handed, DAZN play by play commentator. I've heard maybe two "crimson mask" references in boxing in...decades now, despite many instances where it could be used appropriately.
