I think Ebihara's just to small for his mid-range, in-and-out sharpshooting style to be effective. He was a very good puncher at Flyweight, but Moon was a very tough, big superfly/average sized same-day weigh-in bantam that more or less walked through another major puncher and bigger man like Nana Konadu (who was probably as good on the backfoot as Ebihara) and something of a weight-bully at 115 (not as much as Galaxy, not a mile off either). Hard to see what Ebihara could do to keep him off, he had good feet, but he wasn't a real mover, and he wasn't a big jabber either.

Ebihara could well be the better fighter pfp, but same day weigh-in era jumps between Fly and Bantam (outwith a few outliers who rapidly outgrew divisions they were in as teenagers) were very hard and I don't think he has the style for this one. Maybe against lighter hitting, more technical or methodical fighters, but a great punching, face-first, constantly throw with no respect for the opponent, tough chinned lunatic like Moon is not a good style for genuinely smaller guys.

Moon wrecks Ebihara, just like what Lora said, he's too small and isn't really defense first fighter.
