Schaeffer has today confirmed that JMM will return to the Lightweight division in his next outing. That means either: JMM-Katsidis OR JMM-Diaz II!!! Additionally, it also means there is no Hatton fight either.

Brit Forum's thoughts on this? I am completely stoked that JMM has decided to return to the division that he can continue to perform well in and there are also plenty of options out there when he next defends his lineal title and if he wins his next fight at 135 as well.

Hatton took too long in confirming his comeback, Nate Campbell will probably get the fight now.

JMM the man the technician, the legend, the warrior is back!!!.

Great news that he's back to fighting weight. I'm not fussed if it's Diaz or Katsidis because either fight will be a epic war.

Katsidis is the perfect fight for him to come back with. Competitive but winnable. Will show us how much he has left.

I'd LOVE for him to beat the **** out of Valero next though, but I'm sure Marquez would want more than two rounds to shake off the ring rust :good

I think, at this stage, if JMM and Diaz both took seperate fights they could promote and hype a second fight so it is much bigger than the first. I'd love JMM to take on Katsidis and would prefer Diaz to take on someone else (maybe Valero) before they got back in the ring together again, though.

So many good fights at 135, I'm so pshyched JMM is staying there for at least one more fight:happy.

i want him to fight valero i genuinely belive we'd see a counter punching exhibition on display if that fight were to happen but i think demarco could pull the upset

I think Valero is gonna hurt DeMarco bad, inside 6.

As for JMM it has to be Katsidis. For as long as it lasts it'll be a terrific event. Great news that he's returning to lightweight.

I don't see the point in fighting Diaz again TBH, Katsidis is good though :good

I think it's Schaeffer's way of keeping Diaz's name out there, TBH. Considering that Diaz (and Marquez, but under much different circumstances) lost pretty one-sided fights last time out, I think it's a difficult one to promote right now.

Katsidis is the fight I'd much prefer and I hope it happens as it makes perfect sense. **** what the WBO are saying, it's an amazing fight anyway:deal:good.

Same page says Darchinyan is back on March 6th. :happy:happy

Also rather worryingly, according to Dan Goossen a fight between James Toney and Antonio Tarver is being discussed. :patsch

So glad he has moved back down to 135! He can clean up shop there. I'd like to see him face Katsidis next maybe, then expose Edwin Valero for the over-hyped, one-dimensional fighter he is!:bbb

Its good to see JMM coming back at 135 this is close to his natural fighting weight. A true warrior of the ring.
