Yes they do, in the same division, not when they go back down to there natural division. Im not just picking on Hatton either, its bull**** whoever does this.

I for one am immensly impressed by Jermain Taylor's attitude despite the stick he gets.

So Hatton steps up in weight and loses to the P4P number 1 then defends against the Ring ranked number 7 in the world at 140.....could be a lot worse.

Why dont you make a sensible point instead of talking crap. Number 1 Junior is a year younger than Castillo. Number 2 Whats ages they fight is completely unimportant.Number 3 Castillo has been a pro since he was around 15.His also been in many wars and has TONS of mileage on him with 60 plus fights on his ledger. Junior doesnt have a fraction of the mileage that Castillo has. Ever seen his legendary bouts with Corrales? No i didnt think so.Idiot.

Yes but Hattons had about 30 confidence buildes. Look at how weak 140 is and he cant even challenge a belt holder?! Thats just *****.

Hatton doesn't have to "challenge" anyone at 140, he's the man at that weight. Linear and ranked.

lazcanos last fight,, he got beaten by vivian harris. before that, he got beaten by clubfighter manuel garnica.....only to get a gift decision.

and his last fight was over a year ago.

this is an absolute sick joke. hatton is making one giant ass of himself.

He doesnt hold any of the known titles at the weight.Semantic or not he IS a title challenger. His tenure as the man at 140 is also spurious as its high time he cemented himself as THE man at the weight. Im tired of these gap fillers and pointless sojourns to 47 only for him to scuttle back to 40 and then fans like yourself proudly proclaim him to be the man at 140. Gimme a ****ing break.

shannon briggs was also the "linear champ" when he faced lewis.

now that shows you how much that "belt" is worth.

With an atitude like that I take it you're not big on boxing history? Like it or not Hatton is the man at 140, he's linear, he's ranked and he's the big name.

Witter is 3 months younger than Castillo. Witter is now older than Castillo was at the time of the Hatton fight.

If ages are not important, why did you say 'As for Castillo Hatton doesnt get a bly. The guy was so old he was spitting dust' ?

    Idiot. :rofl

Thats how boxing works, Spinks was linear when he fought Tyson. He was still the champ in most true boxing fans eyes, even if he wasn't the better fighter.

I don't see how it applies to Hatton at 140 though? He's linear and ranked, unlike Briggs and Spinks....in fact its a **** poor example to bring up.

I'm not "cheering" I'm just saying Lascano isn't a bad fight in the circumstances. People are losing perspective over this fight.
