Historical comparisons for Hatton - Mayweather?

    No fight is ever a foregone conclusion, but what precedents stylistically would you most compare this fight with i.e.Chavez-Taylor, Jones-Hopkins, Calzaghe-Lacy, Gatti - Mayweather?

    i think its gonna be a beat down like calzaghe-lacy or gatti-mayweather (doubt it will be as bad as those though)

    Ali/Frazier
    Leonard/Duran
    Chavez/Taylor

    I'm trying to think of some more... Robinson/Lomatta, Pryor/Arguello maybe?

    That's weird Rey :blood Scooby and Shaggy are canine cartoons but worse than that, Scooby n Shaggy are familiarly related. I don't know why but I remember about Troy Dorsey standing straight up and barking loud each time he threw a punch against Maronero Paes. Of course that Hatton doesn't get as vocal and Floyd doesn't sommersault in the end.

    i'll say Leonard-Duran 2, can't see Floyd mixing it up like Leonard did in the first fight with Duran.

    They've both won titles in 2 divisions. 130 and 140 for Gatti, 140 and 147 for Hatton.

    i wasnt saying it in a "mayweather hasnt fought anybody like ricky before ricky is so good" but more an enquiary.

    how are there styles simular, im gonna get on youube to see the fight!

    Taylor-Chavez is a bad comparison, in no way is Floyd a high volume boxer puncher (without power though) like Taylor. Hatton also mauls unlike Chavez. I'd say Leonard-Duran is the closest comparison. Duran mauled Leonard and outworked Leonard who wasn't a high volumes puncher, like Floyd.
