    Ok, I thought it was from Greek history/mythology. One of the Minoan rulers was Asterion.

    Yes. Well actually the TV show was based on greek mythology. The short story is about the minotaur.

    Really? I knew there was some connection. :) Minotaur is actually known in some literature as the second Asterion.

    Thanks but did you mean from when he won the WBO title in 2000 or IBF title in 2006?

    I wish we could count from his WBO reign, but it should be when he started defending the IBF title.

    It annoys me that people want to consider him the champion when he unified the WBO or the WBA/Ring title.

    Wlad beat Byrd (consensus #1) and has unified all of the belts (excluding the WBC). He should and is considered to have 17 title defenses according to boxing publications.
