Abril seems like a homeless man's Luis Rodriguez, a painfully skinny, cautious boxer who has bad luck with the judges.

    Sven Ottke

He also reminds me a bit of Sammy Serrano. Not in terms of styles necessarily. But like Serrano, Abril is very skill but he's not overwhelming and he conveys a certain fragility despite his slickness.

Good comparison, obviously he's not as active and doesn't go to the body as much as Rodriguez, fairly similar stylistically though.

He's a bit of a less assertive Celestino Caballero, but with less pop and an anemic workrate.
