Shavers, Foreman, someone from the modern era? If you had to name one fighter who had the best chance to knock the atomic bull off his feet who would you go with?

Personally, i think you'd need a sledgehammer to drop the guy

Louis or Tyson, or maybe a Frazier left hook. Someone who could hit you with a money punch you didn't see coming. For me, Foreman and Shavers are the hardest punching HW's ever. But you could often see their shots coming, and I don't think you can drop McCall that way.

I tend to agree kg. I was actually going to say Tyson, the problem being that he and McCall already sparred a ton of rounds and Oliver never went down

I do agree though, the most dangerous punch is the one you dont see

Yah, Tyson never dropped him. But in sparring, he may not have been going all out, or they could have been wearing headgear. So a real fight may have showed differently.

Even so, I have seen McCall caught on the way in and not flinch. So it may take old age to actually drop him.

McCall's chin is overrated I feel but still great. I'd say Louis, Shavers, Marciano for the best chances. Any hard puncher has a chance as well though.

That's not entirely true, though I agree he had freakish durability and I can't honestly see him getting downed by anyone. Guys like Chuvalo, LaMotta, Hagler, McCullough, etc are all similar though.

Louis was 6'2 and over 200 pounds at his peak, that is as heavy as Frazier and as tall as McCall. He was known for having some of the best timing and accuracy of all time at HW. You don't have a clue about the guy yet you decide to make ridiculous, incorrect statements about him?

P4P, of course. A bit like how Pavlik is tall for a middleweight, but wouldn't be considered a tall heavyweight.

It's very hard to separate Chuvalo and McCall for the title of "best chin ever".
