Not sure where you get these numbers but 7 out of 10 rematches being won by the initial loser is way off. Assuming that is what you were saying.
It really has more to do with how far along in their careers the fighters were during their first encounter and how brutal the first loss was. I"ll give you Aaron Pryor-Alexis Arguello, Salvador Sanchez-Danny Lopez, Mike Tyson-Frank Bruno, Donald Curry-Marlon Starling, Lennox Lewis-Evander Holyfield, Jeff Chandler-Ejiro Murata, J.C. Chavez-Meldrick Taylor, Junior Jones-Marco A. Barrera, Marvin Hagler-Fulgencio Obelmajias, Marvin Hagler-Mustafa Hamsho, Antonio Margarito-Kermit Cintron, Michael Spinks-Larry Holmes, Larry Holmes-Earnie Shavers, George Foreman-Joe Frazier, etc.

Froch didn't say Bute hurt him. He said he felt his punches.

Bute didn't get caught by a sucker/lucky punch,he got brutallised for 3 of the 5 rounds then KTFO.
Froch would steamroller bute in half the time in a rematch.
In the cold light of day Bute will have realised the gulf in class between himself and Froch,he'll want to avoid a rematch.

Bute is B- fighter. Why all the hoopla?

    This is no great victory!

This doesn't or shouldn't but Carl on any top 10 P4P list.

Bute isn't that good and has never had a real challenge from a complete well rounded fighter. For Bute's skill set, Carl is that to Lucien, and Lucien only!

Carl has to look at where he's been and try and deal with those issues. Dirrell & Ward namely. And if he can't handle these 2, Bad Chad really isn't a realistic option.

Froch has a always been one of my favorite guys at SMW, however he's got so much unfinished business with a loss on the cards to an healthy active Ward. And, also he has to prove that he's worthy of the gift he received for a SD against Dirrell who out-pointed, out-boxed and for multiple rounds at a time, " just really soundly and consistently whooped Carls sorry Britisih ass!"

Its easy for fans not to face reality, but Carl needs to be a bigger competitor and person and " PROVE HIS GREATNESS IF HE HAS ANY" by taking on the 2 fighters who truly whooped his ass.

Andre Dirrell wants you in Vegas or Carson CA but you won't come to his backyard!

He already got one BS decision in Sherwood Forest and you want him to return for the same treatment!?! Man up Carl. We all know that this is why the fight didn't happen!!

Froch is just a bad style for Bute. Like Mayorga was when fighting Forrest.

The iron chinned, awkward, deceptively quick fighter will always give a chinny boxer problems. Always.

Yes but that statistic regards rematches that were deemed to be worthy of being repeated. Froch-Bute was a one-sided demolition. The rematch would end the same way, but it will not happen, and so your statistic will continue its trend, just because only competitive fights usually get repeated.

Really bad comparrision. The matches you listed all had the loosers acually dominating the entire fight before they got knocked out except the harrison one.

Bute didn't dominate one bit he was dominated.

Froch will knock him silly even quicker this time. Don't expect Bute's confidence to be any good in a rematch. If anything he will be MORE panicked and tense which will result in him getting tired too quick and KO'd.

I fully expect Froch to knock him out quicker in a rematch.

It would be career suicide if Bute steps back in with Froch any time soon. The Cobra is all wrong for him as was proven beyond doubt.

He needs at the very least 1 confidence builder before stepping back up in class but it's very likely he has been ruined for good last night. Good luck to him though, top bloke.

    No rematch needed here.
