This fight intrigues me at SM.
Hearns proved whilst still vulnerable, he had learnt to hold on when hurt and come back.
Nunn s career had taken a tumble from middle but was good enough to get the WBA title.

So personally I think Hearns is in with a decent chance?

I'll go with Hearns Nunn wasn't that impressive at Super Middleweight, he should've lost to Cordoba the 1st time in which he was dropped. And he was also dropped vs Little and lost a decision.

not sure how hearns handles nunn's power. I feel Hearns was better lighter tbh

A Nunn at middle weight for me gets a ko over Tommy. But at the higher weight, idk I just see Hearns getting a win.
    Maybe a decision.

Nunn wasn't that powerful barring freak KO vs Kalambay, and he never really stopped anyone at Super Middleweight in which his performances were ok at best.

Nunn is a boxer with ok power style wise Hearns matches up well with him and is the much bigger puncher. Plus Nunn was very hittable at Super Middleweight.

I choose Hearns. Beats Nunn by decision outworking him.

my first thought is Nunn's strength, in tune with his overall Boxing Skill, perhaps being too much for Tommy, not sure how many 'bigger stronger' men Tommy fought to compare with. I'll have to look back over his record to see. But I know some of you here can answer that just as quick.

    I'm going to say Nunn.

This is kinda tough because neither of them did all that well at SMW, Hearns beat Kinchen, Olajide and "really" beat Sugar Ray but that was it. Michael Nunn had more wins but the only real names were Merqui Sosa and Iceman......and he lost to Frankie Liles and Steve Little. He was never ever the same after Toney knocked him out at MW. I'd err on the side of Hearns as Hearns was never once "outboxed" in his entire career and the only chance Nunn would have would be to use his hand and footspeed as he wasn't gonna win a shoot out. Also him being a southpaw and Hearns' right hand.....................yeah, nah.

Hearns wouldn't have trouble with Nunn's speed at all. I'd like my picks against Hearns to be able to hurt him. Nunn rarely punched with any power, and the one time he did against Kalambay he was throwing against a guy who was four inches shorter. I don't think he'll get that kind of leverage against a guy who's the same height and standing straight up.

Comfortable win for Hearns, possible stoppage.

Honestly this thread is a bit disappointing.I would have expected better from posters.

Hearns went the distance with Kinchen, Leonard and Olajide at 160. you would think that a tall slick boxer and mover with a solid chin can achieve the same.Nunn was only stopped once in over 60 fights going through 3 weight classes. and that was by a sunday punch in the rounds.
