so floyd is a coward for fighting a hand full of of smaller men but its alright for rios to chase down guys under him. people are call gamboa a coward for not wanting to fight a guy way bigger and stronger then him, that will hurt his cash flow in the future if he lose.

rios cant even make weight. refuse to fight bigger opponents

if he really about that life, he would move up and fight ortiz....if hes the badass he say he is

Because he's not popular enough. If he gets popular, he's going to get his share of ducking stories.

    1. Rios didn't really chase Gamboa
    2. Rios is not popular enough to get mass hate
    3. His fights are exciting, meaning people don't care who he fights as much as floyd
    4. Gamboa is better than Rios P4P, Floyd P4P was better than the 'smaller men'

Rios is really a 140 fighting at 135

Gamboa called out Rios not the other way around.

Because Rios is not a P4Per and is not yet elite.

Because Rios ain't really a fighter who is considered a super talented and highly skilled fighter. He's rugid, raw and determined. He's been a fighter who has exceeded expectations.

Gamboa is a fighter who is considered a blue chip boxer with loads of talent and is expected to be a fighter who goes up in weight to fight the bigger challenges...like the Manny's and like the Mayweather's.

a funnier thing is, is how people were complaining about BRONER fighting a smaller guy THATS IN HIS DIVISON and everyone is telling him to move up, even tho he has no problem making weight. and he is not that popular either. why doesnt Rios get that same criticizm for fighting a guy 2 divisions below?

Broner is another blue chip boxer who's expectations are going to be higher than the rest of his peers. He was already big for his division and his skills and talents were topic of discussions since before turning pro. He is in another class than Rios both in tens of weight and overall ability.

i agree. but it also has alot to do with how many people dislike him and trying to discredit his victories. he is a slick black american afterall, so his expectations are gonna be high :yep

    Because he didn't 'chase' anyone?

He was being challenged, he was the one who got offered this fight, he was never chasing gamboa.

Now that he committed to the fight showed up to miami n was left hanging, he's being vocal about gamboa bitching out of one of the hottest fights of the year.

Exactly. I actually never heard Rios be the one trying to make this fight. It was Gamboa. So basically Gamboa used Rios to make a name for himself but never even fought him. It is the perfect PR stunt.
Now I am positive he is working with PBF....
