We didn't expect Maidana to fight dirty. Floyd didn't either. I didn't believe Floyd when he said he was prepared for everything either. Even when the announcers confirmed this point, Floyd did not know what he was in store for...lmao.
Great poll results so far. Mayweather looking like a beaten man in the post fight conference. It just shows he is easy to hit :deal
New poll:think Who sucks my big hard sticks and swallows baby GRAVEY Number 1 Answer BLIZZY BLIZZ/ Mr Pibb:hi::blood:-( :smoke
For a defensive guy, Mayweather took alot of body shots. Credit to Maidana for further exposing his weakness against pressure fighters.
The only way to to fight Mayweather is to pressure him, trying to outbox him is his strength.. as you are in the middle of the ring... it will go his way but if you are a pressure fighter and having him on the ropes is the best time to land those body shots and head shots. Trapping Mayweather on the ropes is his weakness.
Floyd easily took more punishment. Maidana is the bigger puncher. But its all about who got the W. Nothing more. Nothing less.
If this fight had been scored according to the patented Max Kellerman "Which fighter would you rather be?" method of scoring, Floyd would have clearly lost.
I've always said Mayweather get hit a lot more than people think, I've ven made a thread about it, the thing is, he doesn't often get hit CLEAN. Maidana landed a lot of punches, some were effective and some were not, the fact that Mayweather took them, speaks to something many people try to discredit him for, his heart and toughness. Having said that I think Mayweather took more damage, but a lot of it was to parts of the body that would normally warrant point deductions, not points.
Void took more punishment. You see the reason Void will not fight Pac? Void is afraid he might get hurt.............
Definitely Mayweather. He was cut both above the eye and on the nose for the first time in his career and had to take countless punches to the back of the head.
